“We went to Saffire Restaurant on Mother’s Day morning as a little treat for my mom and myself, and it was such an amazing experience from start to finish. Dan absolutely made our visit memorable. He was so kind, attentive, and professional, and you could tell he genuinely cared about giving guests a great experience. He carved the meat perfectly, and every cut was sliced beautifully and plated so nicely. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best we’ve had. The attention to detail and friendly personality completely stood out and made the morning feel extra special. We left beyond impressed and will absolutely be coming back again soon.”

“We're not much for sports bars but the menu had a few things of interest and it was early before the crowds came in so it was relatively quiet and relaxing. It was taco Tuesday so we had brisket tacos, and fish tacos and they were good. It has a self serv draft beer bar, it works on a smart card and there was 20 or so offerings, some I new, a lot I didn't so I had a flight of 4 samplings, the best being sugared maple bourbon something. Definitely had a hard liquor after twang ?”

“Your manager was highly unprofessional. Damon was fantastic My family dined inside this evening and had no issues, however, someone who arrived at the same time I did and had ordered online still had to wait another 30 minutes and had to ask where her order was before getting it. Another family waited 45 minutes for wings and finally had to ask for her money back, understandably upset. Then the manager was loudly talking in the back how he gave her the money back and told her to get out. That never happened. He told her to have a good night. Sarcastically. No it was not busy by any stretch of the imagination. The 2 hours I was there dine in/ carry out orders were maybe 10.”

“I learned a valuable lesson today. Never judge a restaurant by the city it’s in. I’m a foodie, and honestly, I didn’t think Oroville could put out an awesome foodie experience. My in-laws live in Oroville, and I have driven past The Boss Burger for 20 years, never stopping in, until today. Let me start by saying the girls behind the counter made you feel like you just arrived home after an extended absence. These are people who took a lesson or two in southern hospitality, and have a pleasant demeanor that is embedded in their DNA. The best customer service I have seen in this town in 20 years. Bar none.

So I ask what she recommended. I was hungry. The girl said to try the Super Big Boss burger combo with small fries, fry sauce, and a drink. She said it’s a lot of food, and I gladly accepted the challenge.

In short order, my name is called and on the counter I see this monster burger and huge portion of fries. I remarked on the immensity of the burger, and told the girl that I only ordered a small fry. “This IS our small fry” with a gotcha grin on her face. I am guessing a large fry probably comes with a some kind of disclaimer.

The burger is legit! 3/4 pound, cooked exactly to my preference. Great beefy flavor, not some processed frozen patty. The fries were perfectly cooked, and that fry sauce? Yeah, better than you imagine. Do not pass that up!

Clearly, I confess I was a bit uppity with my impressions of Oroville. I bow to you, The Boss Burger. You have my respect, loyalty, and repeat business.

“Mugshots is the place I always go whenever I want to meet up with a friend or a client for a coffee date. Their atmosphere is *everything* with artwork from local artists usually displayed on the walls and an outdoor patio in the back that is so quaint and relaxing. Their service is amazing and their servers get to know you by name (if you go in enough like I do- ha!) I highly recommend Mugshots as a must stop when in the historic downtown Oroville district. You will be so happy you went!”

“Probably the best pizza I’ve had in years. I had the 9” Shakey special and it came loaded up with everything. Normally I leave the crust as it’s mostly just baked dough but this was as loaded as the centre! Great value and great taste.”

They have a leftover special where all the food they didn't sell that they made previously gets put in the fridge and you can buy a plate for a really affordable price, except you don't get to pick what's on it. The food quality generally speaking is above average, yet some of it is way too spicey so be careful and maybe ask about the spiciness first. Check their hours. They do a lunch break in the middle of the day where the close shop to go eat. If you order before they take their lunch it's really decently priced. If you come in and order after their lunch break the prices skyrocket and it's not really worth going.”

“LOVE that the tortillas are homemade. Food is always delicious. They are very clean, I'm a germaphobe and I love noticing they put gloves on right away to prepare my food. Front desk lady could smile, but I will definitely continuing ordering here.”

“This small college café provides a variety of coffee and pastries, as well as two public computers for when you need to check e-mails or do quick research. It's also a very convenient location near the bus stop for when you're waiting to leave college. Finally, they provide television and a small selection of movies set up by the staff. Overall, it is a pretty nice experience and a convenient hangout spot for chatting with friends, or if you just want a good cup of coffee or a quick snack!”

​Today was my wife’s birthday, and she went down to grab her special birthday drink. She brought it home, took literally three sips, and our 1-year-old immediately knocked it off the table, spilling it everywhere. Absolute birthday tragedy.
​I headed back down to this location hoping to just buy her a replacement, but when I explained what happened, Kaylee and the staff completely saved the day. They insisted on replacing the drink completely free of charge.

Stopped by Applebee’s this morning for a senior meal, and it was a great experience. Jessie was my server, and she was friendly, attentive, and made sure my order was perfect. 🌟 She has such a warm personality and great customer service skills.
I enjoyed a comfortable booth, watched the girls’ baseball game on the TVs ⚾📺, and never felt rushed. My water was refilled twice, and the whole visit was relaxing and pleasant.
Definitely becoming one of my go-to spots for a good senior meal. 😊”
