Jake's Burgers & More

I ordered my food over the phone and went straight there. When I got my food it was cold and soggy I couldn’t eat my breakfast burrito it was so soggy it was sticking to the paper it was wrapped in. When I called to tell them and the guy said “okay and?” So rude and a waste of money.

I was in the area and needed to grab something quick before getting back on the road to go home an hour away. Jake’s Burgers & More popped up on my map search and I chose it simply because I could place an order online without any fuss. I didn’t expect much as I am usually disappointed with establishments I’m not familiar with… but it was either this or skip lunch altogether due to limited options along my drive. I pulled up to the parking lot thinking it was a mistake. The location was not flashy from the outside and seemed quiet with an empty parking lot. But I had already ordered and paid, so I went in to get my stuff. The staff were friendly and let me know my order was being bagged. There was a line of people trickling in behind me, so I started feeling more hopeful that it would be an okay lunch. I hopped back in the car to head home and eat on the drive. I was very pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Jalapeño cream cheese burger and sweet potato fries. Not only was it okay, it was one of the best burgers I’d had in a while! The fresh grilled jalapeños threw it over the top! It’s nice to have a jalapeño burger with fresh peppers and not the pickled and canned variety. The cream cheese was an unexpected addition to a burger, but it balanced the spice out perfectly and helped hold it all together which was helpful for lunch on the road. The patty tasted good and fresh, (I’m very sensitive to game-y meat flavors… and if I detect any, I will not be able to eat more than a bite). I could not stop eating this delicious burger even after I felt full! I plan to find an excuse to return to Oroville to hit up this spot again. Or maybe even drive the hour for Jake’s Burgers alone.

Love Jake burgers ?used to here all the time when I lived in California and have yet to find a burger to match theirs i was so excited to go there and they have a breakfast burrito ? that is absolutely yummy ?

Neighborhood hamburger joint. I liked the place better when they served bbq baked beans on the menu. Maybe the management will reconsider added them back on the menu.

Fun and comfortable atmosphere. The food is the BOMB. My favorite burger place. And their fry sauce is the best.

The very BEST thing about OROVILLE ,well ... Besides the multiple lakes & outdoor water activities to enjoy ,only a mile or few from your home!!!
Jakes is friendly, cleanly, reasonable to higher end prices, but nonetheless the food is worth the cost, & and nowadays anywhere you go to eat any fast food boring chain anywhere it's going to cost you a pretty penny and you don't get much value from it whereas at Jake's you pay him just a tad bit higher prices for the food but I'm not even you know what I'm going to say that because it's really not costly in comparison to the fast food is about the same price but you get such great food and I mean nobody can do it better than you can at home they come pretty close though at least to me cuz I'm no chef believe me but I do like food and this is the place to go if you have the hankering for a nice juicy fat burger n fries!!!

Parking: It's in a strip mall type of establishment. Next to & around Jakes , you'll see a a Smoke shop , office supplies retail store, Farners insurance Agents offices, Metro, Papa Murphy's down at the end, massage parlor (Wee,ooh la la!), and finally you know for every need you can think of a psychic madam Ruby she's right down the street down the couple doors down you can find out how much weight you're going to gain from the juicy burger you just ate you're not even going to care!

Kid-friendliness: The dining area, is set aside with a half wall sectioning off the kitchen area, there's plenty of tables, t. On wall, playing,,,....but of course....SPORTS!
IT IS kid welcoming !
Not fancy, nothing real determental to cry about, if a youngin is exercising thier right to run, play, and rough house & they possibly busr / knock over tables , etc ....
Plain dining area w/ comfortable but worn furniture to sit and enjoy your meal!

BEWARE this business charges added fees which should only be charged if using a debit/charge card. I was charged the fee after telling the cashier I was paying cash. She removed it only once I asked her what the additional fee was for. This is a SCAM that people may not be noticing.

Great "small town burger joint!". The menu is has something for everyone. There's more than just your average burger place. Their breakfast menu is what makes me keep coming back. The staff is very friendly and from what I can tell they have a lot of regulars who eat there often. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is when it's really busy the quality of the food is affected. The staff seems get distracted and focused to much on interacting with the regulars and doesn't pay as much attention to the food that's being prepared. I guess that's to be expected from this type of restaurant.

I've been many times, but it's often far between visits as i don't live in this town, but e every time I go it's great! I had something different every time and I have no complaints, I got the burger w/ BBQ sauce, onions rings & bacon on it, I added the cream cheese w/ jalapeño mixed in, I also got the onion rings, I had to drive about 25 minutes to get home, but when I sat down to eat it the burger was a slop, the bun held up and thr burger was still juicy, hell the lettuce wasn't even wilted, this place never misses, it was real busy so I didn't have to wait around 20 minutes, but if that doesn't bother you (remember good food takes time), then this place doesn't miss
