First time going here. We were looking for a nice cold deli sandwich. Their menu was all hot sandwiches but the staff was wonderful. They said tell us what you want and we will make it. Amazing sandwiches and wonderful service. We will be back for sure!

If you want somewhere clean this is a great place. However, it smelled really strongly of pine sol and it didn’t seem like anyone was making our coffee. My boyfriend and I waited for a while but were getting really bad headaches so we just cut our losses and headed to a different coffee shop. That being said, JC Java did let us use their bathroom which was awesome.

My mom and I are staying here for 2 and half weeks and we are trying different food places. Today we decided to come here and it was really good. I just got a basic bagel with cream cheese and an iced latte. The staff there was super nice and very outgoing. If looking for a cute cozy breakfast spot I highly recommended this place!! Def will be back

Do Not Waste your time and hard earned money at JC Java. Bagels and croissants are not baked fresh, it’s store bought. I came here on a Monday morning 7/7/25 expecting to get fresh bagels but when I walked in, there was nothing in the display case. The images that’s in their website are not what you see at the restaurant. After I’ve already paid for a dozen bagels, one of the guys started taking bagels out of the bags that looks like it came from Winco. He then started to cut them and was having a difficult time. He was only able to toast 6 of the 12 bagels I bought and said their toaster is not working so I took my order and left. Took him over 30 mins just to cut 12 bagels in half and toast 6. I do not recommend going there. Very expensive bagel for store bought @ $3.75 each and I paid $52 for a dozen. Below is a picture of a bag of 6 the same exact MegaBerry for $1.98 at Winco vs 1 MegaBerry at JC Java for $3.75.

The non-profit that hosted a weekend retreat right next door was blessed with having JC Java in charge of preparing and serving the food we ate this weekend! From the service to the food- everything was fantastic!! The man in charge Ron really assisted us in anyway possible- very customer service oriented and his heart along with the team that works here (which are all people who are doing Gods work) was clearly seen in all they do! Please stop by, you will not regret it and they have great coffee!

These were some of the best sandwiches and French fries we have ever had. Highly recommend this sandwich shop if you are ever in downtown Oroville! Try the California chicken pesto sandwich.

This morning was my first time coming here, and it definitely won’t be my last! Going in the I felt overwhelmed because my morning didn’t start on the right foot, and within minutes of walking in there I felt calm and happy! Every staff member there today was top notch, and so happy and helpful! I went in with a tiger coupon card not knowing how to use it and the man in charge called his boss and asked how to work it, I even asked if we should forget about it it’s no big deal for me, and he worked through it and helped me out! I love locally owned coffee shops and I have to say this is one of my new favorites! Thank you so much to everyone at JC Java for making excellent coffee and amazing food! You definitely have a new costumer on your hands!!
First of all, just go to another coffee shop. We ordered simple breakfast items and they were very disappointing and overall skimpy. Was there even cream cheese on my bagel?
