We were passing through and stopped for breakfast. We had a wait but it was worth it. We enjoyed the apple French toast and the ham steak breakfast. Would go back if in the neighborhood again.

Went to BG to try for the first time. I had some caramel apple French toast, but it's literally all you get & it was way too sweet, I thought it should have been a smaller portion served with some protein. My other half always seeking the best chilaquiles verdes had them & said they were just ok nothing to brag about. The staff was really nice enough, seemed to be used to their regular customers & aren't really interested in anyone new! I think because it's downtown, it probably gets busy as it's really big inside, It's really old-fashioned inside & very dark in there! It was okay to try & I can say I did, but I don't think I would go back!

My husband and I went to BG's Cafe for the first time last week.
Angelina, our server was fantastic with her knowledge of the extensive menu. One could tell she really loves what she does by her great attitude.
Now for our menu selections:
My husband's Pastrami Sandwich with homemade thousand island dressing was the "real deal".
My cup of clam chowder was prepared with a delicious creamy base that was silky smooth not gravy thick. A small packet of "Oyster soup" crackers finished off the experience. The rich soup was perfect to go with my half of a roasted turkey sandwich.
We met Veronica and Jose, the owners who made you feel like family!
We will definitely be back to their "gem" of a cafe with the "real deal" food on the menu.

It was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time! Gets really busy, so please expect a wait, but it's so well worth it! Food was * chefs kiss *. My waitress was super friendly and attentive. We had a huge party of 10. They accommodated us very well and sat us at a big table with enough space for us to feel comfortable and move around and not feel so packed together.
I was very pleased we ended up here and were received with such spectacular customer service ?❤️

Excellent food from here will be coming back soon. My waitress was very tentative and checked on me a good few times. The tri tip was cooked to my liking and eggs were scrambled soft as I requested, they were not stingy with the cheese. Now that biscuit was no is a force to be reckoned with. Came out hot, fresh and with perfect amount of butter. I haven't had a biscuit that taste like a piece of cake since my grandmother was alive...
The food was OK, some of the dishes were a little overpriced. The staff was incredibly nice and professional.

Def a locals only dive.Food was hit and miss on a lot of items.They reserve tables for the regulars even though they weren't busy at all and we're the only ones there.The waitress was rough looking and acting.
