Get to your reservation a little early and enjoy the surrounding historical buildings gathered from around Oxnard into a Heritage Center. Each property has a little description that is quite educational. Or, wait until you’ve enjoyed the great food for that after-dessert stroll. The food was amazing, from Mahi Salad to full steak dinner with excellent merlot. Same a few sips of that red wine to enjoy with their chocolate cake with raspberry, whipped cream & pecan topping. Whew. As you can witness with the photo, the servings are huge. (We took home another full meal - really.)”

For our group of 8, we ordered the pulled pork and pulled chicken, along with baked beans, cheesy potatoes, and Southern green beans. Every dish was absolutely amazing! The flavors were on point, and we loved that we had plenty of leftovers for several meals afterward. It made our holiday even more special. Thank you, Smokin' Js, for providing such delicious food! “My first time and I rate 10/10. I had the grilled fish burrito. It came with a few pickled onion and radish slides and lime. Which paired perfectly with the flavorful habanero salsa. Which I had two of the salsa servings.
I eat a lot and love large burritos. At first it looked smaller than I expected, but it was wrapped and packed very tightly , filled with grilled fish, rice and seasonings that enhanced the flavor of the fish. It was amazing and I was pleasantly satisfied.
You can eat out front by the street which gives a nice view of Plaza Park. I saw i. The back which has a welcoming and relaxed homestyle vibe with table nestled with a cover tried with plants on a hard dirt surface which made a nice vibe like places I would eat at in Baja. Very relaxing, highly aesthetic, super clean, well decorated, and even the restroom was very clean and fresh. The staff were nice and welcoming as well.
Food quality 10/10. Price 10/10. Flavor 10/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Vibe 10/10.

His name was William, he gave me chills as he looked at me and my brother very strangely. His co-worker Henry really made my dad chuckle with some jokes. The Pizza is great! Bathrooms were uhhh... And also thing is my dad was strangely eyeing a room labeled "ball pit" and just stared at it as we were leaving. It seems like it was abandoned though. Overall a great place to go and eat. Maybe bring some friends or others to come along and eat at Freddy's. It would be fun!?

Oh ! What's a Memela ? It's a thick hand made tortilla with melted cheese and the sauce of your choice. Yes!!! An opened quesadilla! Between a quesadilla and a gordita ! The service was amazing. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was super kind and helped us understand the menu. We decided to share the Bulgogi, and we also decided to share a tempura appetizer. The tempura was great. The mixed tempura came with a good version of vegetables and a couple shrimp.
I was really impressed how tasty the Bulgogi was and how large the dinner portion was. It was enough for my wife and I to share and to feel satisfied in the meal. You also have to make sure to get the side dishes. They are so good at the end of our meal, my wife said I wanna come here again”

My pizza and cheese curds were flavorful and delicious. Curds were served with a sweet and sour sauce plus a ranch kinda dressing, both tangy & delicious. When our waitress went on her lunch break, Destini took over and was equally attentive. Both provided great service. Total for lunch before tip was $46.00. Fun & lively atmosphere. Would recommend for good food and great service. Wife said its her new favorite restaurant.”

“My first time and I rate 10/10. I had the grilled fish burrito. It came with a few pickled onion and radish slides and lime. Which paired perfectly with the flavorful habanero salsa. Which I had two of the salsa servings.
I eat a lot and love large burritos. At first it looked smaller than I expected, but it was wrapped and packed very tightly , filled with grilled fish, rice and seasonings that enhanced the flavor of the fish. It was amazing and I was pleasantly satisfied.
You can eat out front by the street which gives a nice view of Plaza Park. I saw i. The back which has a welcoming and relaxed homestyle vibe with table nestled with a cover tried with plants on a hard dirt surface which made a nice vibe like places I would eat at in Baja. Very relaxing, highly aesthetic, super clean, well decorated, and even the restroom was very clean and fresh. The staff were nice and welcoming as well.
