Had a short visit in Oxnard and went to Mrs. Olson's two days in a row! The beautiful water view was amazing and we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. And the food...... AMAZING! Highly recommend the Beach Benedict! Everything we saw looked delicious and the Denver omelet was packed with goodness. Don't miss this place if you are in the area!

I was a little hesitant to eat here after reading the negative reviews but decided to give them a try anyway. I'm glad I did. I had chili relleno omelette breakfast and it was delicious. The service was also very good and I liked the funky atmosphere. Considering that every restaurant I've been to recently has had to raise prices, I'm OK with paying more for food this good and it was actually a little less than I've paid elsewhere for similar meals. Should have heeded the bad reviews for biscuits and gravy. The biscuit seemed great, soft and fluffy, but the gravy was not gravy. I could pick up chunks of it with my fork. It was just shy of being biscuit and dumplings. I worked in restaurants for over 15 years and hate wasting food, otherwise I would have returned it for something else. The eggs on top were great, and the main reason I kept the dish. Not sure if someone accidentally dropped an extra pound of flour in the gravy...read full review
