“We had a great time at Cabo's on our Anniversary Day. We both wanted to try it after a few recommendations and the fact that I used to work in that building in the late 70s when it was a Sizzler Steak House Restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was awesome. We had appetizers as well as our meal and ended it with dessert. They all came out in a timely manner. I would go again!“
“I lived in the area on and off for over 25 years. This is the first time ever coming here. I was walking in blind, I knew nobody here and knew nothing about this place. Driven past hundreds of times but never stop. First impression was awesome. Great environment and atmosphere with the tavern. Everyone was cool and fun and very welcoming of me being there. Sammy the bartender was awesome. Very attentive to my drinks and everyone’s else’s drinks , knowledgeable on what he’s serving, and just a friendly attitude towards everyone there. Awesome local spot to get some great beers and wines. They have darts, a shuffle board table, and a digital jukebox to play your favorite tunes. I would definitely recommend the Beachcomber Tavern to anyone that is local, traveling through or the vacation rental people. I will definitely be back myself.“
“A nice sports bar with lots of different beer on tap. The cocktails are good too. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, the beer batter onion rings are great, the meat pizza has a nice, thin crust, and there is plenty of free parking. Great place and highly recommended. Thank you.“
“The curry is amazing. Hidden gem. Michelin guide MUST come here. Thai curries have been another symbol of the diverse food culture in LA and THIS place needs to be recognized for their food integrity and authenticity. If you love authentic Thai, Suvarnaphumi (named after Thailand’s airport) truly bursts your tastebuds into a whole other dimension.Order: Avocado Green Curry, Yellow Currry, Handmade eggrolls w/pork, Filled fried wontons, Tom Yum soup, Peach iced teaWorth the drive! Just do it.“
“What a big change. This place is really stepped it up. We really loved the changes and I have to say that Mariah ? was a delight. Talk about a great personality! We will definitely be back for a few drinks and of course to visit my new buddy!“
“Well, I turned 62 today so my 91 year old dad wanted to take me to dinner for my birthday. Since Quincy's closure, we thought we would check out the Strand to see how the food, service & ambience is now. This place is definitely still a locals hideout! The table order was: BBQ chicken plate, Salmon plate & peppered ahi plate. My dad raved about his salmon; the evidence is in his plate being near empty. My pan seared ahi plate was really great too. My sister said her BBQ chicken was good too. All in all, it was a great birthday dinner. The service was slow although not by the waitstaff, seemingly the kitchen. Waitstaff all very friendly, attentive & kind.“
“It's the Channel Islands Harbor version of Cheers...Friendly Bartenders, honest pours, great view of the Harbor, indoor and outdoor seating. Nightly entertainment, big screens for sports, Monday night Football, excellent pub food....great choice for casual dining and drinking.“
“I’m the traveler. This is the best place anyone should stop, if just for a drink friendly conversation. You can even walk out to the beach, and see the seals. Just a local bar with great friendly patrons, just open yourself up to them and they will open to you. Drinks are amazing and the best prices I’ve see anywhere in California. Thank you Rudder Room. Had a blast hope to some day come back.! CASH Only.“
