“i have been coming here for almost 2 decades LOL and when i say this is my ultimate comfort food, I!! am!!! not!! joking!!! ??ozeki noodle has been a long time establishment in vc serving some of the tastiest and warm japanese comfort food and i will always recommend ozeki to anyone stopping by.the original owners have moved on and retired (i luv them ?) but the food and recipes still stand to be the same and just as delicious.highly recommend, it’s a hole in the wall and now next to a nice milk tea shop as well, don’t miss out !“
“Enter the marketplace and turn right. Join the end of the line and consider your tantalizing options, grilled fish, marinated skewers of beef, lechon, (crispy roasted pork) pasta, soups and stews. You can take a big party platter with several pounds of meat home or purchase a single meal and dine in at a few cute tables near the entrance.Everything is good here, you can't go wrong. My favorite dish is the Arroz Caldo. (Chicken and rice soup) It's a rich savory rice porridge with big chunks of chicken, crisp threads of fresh ginger and quail eggs. Five stars. This is a great place to get family -style takeout or fill up on healthy food before you head back to base.:)“
“Stopped by here today for their lunch special. The food had so much flavor, but the only thing I wish was different was the temperature of their soup. I love my soups piping hot especially on a rainy day and my soup was just warm, but not hot. I ordered their basil feel lunch special, my hubby ordered their garlic chicken special and my kids split their stir fry chicken lunch special. They all come with a side of rice, soup and a salad. The service was excellent. We ordered their mango with sticky rice for dessert, it was so yummy! The lady that waited on us didn't speak a lot of English, but good enough that we could communicate with her. The restaurant is small and it was a little busy today, but we still were able to get a comfortable booth. I think it was a good deal for all of the delicious food we got. We'll be back soon.“
“Their food is soooooo good!!!! Huge portions as well! 1 person could share a bowl if you have the same taste, their chicken plate was very good as well! Had some communication issues between us, our server, and the kitchen, however our server was very sweet in trying to fix it, it was very busy and loud in there so it wasn't a huge deal...food made up for everything“
“Tried it for the first time last week, had the spicy beef noodle soup with knife-cut noodles and the soup dumplings. My friend had the spinach ramen noodles in miso broth. I would say overall the food is pretty good. The spicy beef noodle soup was not very spicy and the noodles seemed a bit dry. But I took home my leftovers, added some red pepper and by that time the noodles had soaked in more of the broth and were plumper and chewier, so it was good. The soup dumplings were good though you have to ask for all the condiments (vinegar, ginger, chili oil) as they only had soy sauce out on the counter. I will be back to try their other items. Since it is hard to find these more regional types of Chinese food here in Ventura County, I would say it's a good place among what's offered here. Not as good as those in San Gabriel Valley or even South Bay areas of L.A., but for Ventura County, this would be one of my go-to places for soup dumplings and handmade noodles.“
“The restaurant was beautifully decorated and clean. We ordered the cashew nut chicken and vegetable chow fun rice noodles and they came out hot and delicious. I was very impressed with the service and the presentation, will come back again definitely. Reasonably priced with big portions to easily share and take home for two people.“
“Food was very good. The gal behind the register was friendly and the flavors were definitely there. We ate Chinese but we simply do not have the energy to make so many dishes and to be honest all the chopping and dicing. Nope!I'm that slightly lazy Asian who will not make Chinese food unless I'm threatened.I think this family is from China as their flavors have a sweetness to it rather than the tart in Taiwan. Still, food was quite good and much closer than Monterey Park/Arcadia.Will be back.“
“The food was great and for the first time in a while not only did the order come out right with special requests I had she remembered them without even writing them down. Very attentive customer service and the ramen was very good along with the spicy tuna crispy rice and tempura.“
“Pork chop rice plate is so good! The pork and rice dipped in the sauce that comes with the order is the best combination of sweet & savory, hands down. I'm also a huge fan of their rare beef and tripe pho. The broth is so flavorful, and their beef and tripe are top-notch quality--especially compared to other local restaurants that serve pho. Service is always polite, friendly, and makes ordering a breeze. This place is a gem and deserves all the hype!!“
