Just had my parents 50th Anniversary, it was a huge event. We had place an order for chicken picatta and tri tip with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes, the food was moist and delicious. The service was excellent, the food was tasteful and the caters were organized not to mention they are affordable for dealing with a large party!! Thank you Garcias catering and THANK YOU CHEF!!!

I came in here excited to give them my business and order catering for my brother's graduation. I happen to be black. They didn't greet me when I came in, even though there was only one other customer in the restaurant. I assume that maybe they just didn't see me and so I said hello to them but their response was frosty. I then asked them if I could learn more about their catering package and rates and they told me to wait, which I did for about 10 minutes while they continued to avert eye contact from me. Eventually, I said that I would return later and the owner gave me a nonchalant okay. The second worker who wasn't doing anything also gave me a nonchalant look. So disappointing as I'm born and raised in Oxnard and was looking to support a local business. If you're Black, steer clear.

The chicken is delicious and fresh. Came with a good portion of rice and beans that were also very good. The place is hidden. Definitely my new go to chicken spot when in Oxnard.

This is my review for their catering service. First of all, I was looking for someone to cater a Thanksgiving meal for the place I work at. I posted on Facebook and on one of my posts they were the most suggested by people. I gave them a call and asked for prices and if they’d be able to make what I needed which was a traditional turkey meal. Vicente was a really nice gentleman and very accommodating.I met with Vicente to give him the menu, date and to reserve the date. During our meeting we talked about the things I wanted and how I wanted them.Today was the big event and a girl and a gentleman arrived to set everything up. They set everything up beautifully and where it was easy for us to serve. Once they left I realized there was no gravy and called Vicente to find out where it was and he said it was in one of the warming boxes they had and he apologized that the lady did not put it out. No big deal, I was glad thanksgiving was not ruined! I did order coffee with tea but only got coffee I was not too happy about that either and that’s why I’m taking some stars off. I also talked to him about getting dressing instead of stuffing although I originally wrote stuffing on the order (their stuffing was really good though).The food was well prepared, moist, delicious, there was plenty and everybody loved it. They had chaffing plates to keep food warm but where it wouldn’t dry the food. Overall, my experience was wonderful with this place except for the few things that we didn’t get right. I definitely recommend them for their tasty food. I would definitely use them again and may do so for our Christmas event.
