I am so happy to have La Especial back. We tried the ground beef tacos for the first time and they were delicious. I highly recommend them. And the machaca burrito.

Do not let the lackluster locale keep you away. The food here is delicious and it's been run by the same family for YEARS. My fave (off-menu) item is the Breakfast quesadilla. You cannot miss the fresh habanero salsa. And the tamales, genuinely the very best in town!

Ordered food to go and was disappointed as it was a recommendation. Tortillas were cold and hard, I ordered a breakfast burrito so expected it to be warm and soft . Contents of the burrito were good but the cold tortilla brought the flavor down a lot

The staff is friendly, and the bread is heavenly! If you go early enough you can actually watch the bakers in action; the bread is warm, fresh out of the oven. It’s like being in Mexico.

Just went back for the first time after being closed since Covid. Lovely family service as usual and amazing burritos. They don't have a full menu yet, but you can get your fix again of chorizo egg and potato burritos. So excited to support this neighborhood business again. Welcome back! Sorry, I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture.Open Saturday and Sundays for now until 1 pm.
