First and last time ordering tamales from here. The day I placed my order, I ordered a green chicken and red pork tamal to try them before placing a big order for Christmas. They were really good, nice and thin with a good amount of meat. So, I decided to place my order. The tamales were big, like lots of Masa and hardly had meat. My relatives even told me that they hardly had any meat and dry. I was bummed and always heard this bakery had good tamales. I guess they change it during the holidays which is not fair since we are paying for them.
My son ended up bringing some tamales from his gf's mom and they were delicious and a good amount of meat and thin. Sometimes you think you are getting better tamales from a bakery but that is not correct.
I will be ordering from my son's GF's mom next time.
The tamales had to much massa the meant had no flavor and was very dry

La Mexicanita Bakery in Oxnard is a solid spot, especially if you’re craving tamales—they’re amazing and definitely the highlight. The bread and cookies are good, though a bit on the pricey side for the portion. You can get a small champurrado for $3.25, but just a heads-up—it’s very sweet. I usually dilute mine with milk and it’s perfect. Overall, a nice place to stop by, especially for the tamales.

Ehhh, meh. We're accustomed to panaderia but what we were served felt like it was a week old, almost no flavor. The lady who helped us was very impatient and didn't respond to our questions.

Good pan dulce at good prices!
Ordered adobada burrito, got rice and beans burrito with a few pieces of adobada. This was my to go place for great burritos. Who ever is dictating to short cut their used to be excellent approach should reconsider.
Their pan dulce has flavor. To where Vanessa's does not. And priced better toi. The food is better at Vanessa's. Plus here they don't even wrap a burrito correctly it always opens at the end makes a mess. And prices idk they don't post. But I ordered chorizo con egg. And got beans potatoes n very very little Ch n egg. Wrapped loosely. An OJ and one sweet bread. $21.00 . The bread is $1.75. so that leaves the oj and burrito?? $9 each or '$15 j $3.25. . Either way NEVER AGAIN. NOT WORTH IT and no flavorVanessa for food. Here for bread. The ladies here are flirty with the male customers and prudish toward the female customers
Comes across SAD n Thirsty

This review is only for their tamales. They always had excellent tamales but lately they are all bulky masa with very little filling. Very disappointing. Will not be buying nor recommending any longer

Tamales look big, but it's all masa. It's tasty, but where's the meat! Service was great. Pan dulce is ok.
