Everything about this place was perfect. Not only was the food delicious, but it was authentic, satisfying, and reasonably priced as well. The restaurant’s namesake, the Moqueca is what I ordered. Specifically the Mariscos, a stew made in a clay pot with various kinds of small vegetables and fresh seafood. Not to mention real Brazilian seasonings called urucum. You can’t get much fresher or more authentic than around here.
Very welcoming staff. We were greeted by the friendly Brazilian owner who went through the menu with us. Traditional dishes from Espírito Santo with seafood and lots of cilantro. Stroganoff was nice, but the original recipe doesn’t have olives ;-)
This is one of my favorites restaurants plus right around the corner from home. Deserts are a fabulous ending: try Pudin or Mousse de Chocolate. Either the Moquecas (seafood clays) feiyoadas, picanhas or strogonoff are going to blow your mind. Enjoy!!!
