Sadly, we were very disappointed with our experience. I understand Valentine's Day is one of the busiest nights for restaurants, but from the moment we arrived, the service and overall atmosphere fell short of expectations. My partner and I were celebrating both our anniversary and Valentine's Day, and after already having a stressful day, we were really looking forward to a relaxing, special dinner. Unfortunately, we were seated next to a table full of dirty dishes that remained there for quite some time, which immediately took away from the experience. Although we were initially given silverware, when our first course arrived, we realized it had been removed and we had to wait for someone to bring more. Even more concerning, several of the plates had an unpleasant odor, similar to dirty water or cleaning rags, which was extremely off-putting while trying to enjoy a meal. Service continued to be inconsistent throughout the night. We weren't provided water until after asking twice, which was surprising given the level of service we expected. Additionally, we noticed other guests receiving their glasses of complimentary champagne while we had not been offered any. This is what prompted us to ask about it toward the end of the meal, at which point we were served what appeared to be the end of a bottle. I completely understand that holidays are hectic for staff, but moments like this made us feel overlooked. As for the food, it did not meet the expectations that come with a $300 four-course meal for two. The hamachi appetizer was truly the highlight of the evening, while the remaining courses were underwhelming. The alcoholic beverages, however, were excellent — well crafted and beautifully presented. I always try to be understanding of busy nights, but when you invest this much into what is meant to be a meaningful celebration, the service should reflect that. Overall, it was a hard pill to swallow and unfortunately not an experience we would choose to repeat.
Aga was phenomenal! She was so sweet and knowledgeable about the entire menu. She took the time to congratulate us on our anniversary. Our cups never ran empty, and the food was brought out with perfect timing. She really was wonderful!
Food was excellent, some of the best brussel sprouts I've had. Aga our server was completely on top of it! Love this place
Ox and Ocean is a hidden gem along the Oxnard coast. This was our second time at the restaurant and it was just as good, if not better than our first visit. Our server, Aga, was fantastic! She was very friendly, knowledgeable and on top of things. It was a fantastic evening to enjoy time with my lovely wife in an equally lovely setting.
The food was really good - especially the burger and crispy potatoes. Our server, Aga, was Amazing!! So kind and helpful. Best service I have had in a long time.

the food was good but it is a limited menu and no oysters! Dinner time included live music that was way too loud an not very good. The server was excellent, great customer service.
Christmas Day brunch was not good. To pay $130 plus a mandatory 20% tip for the mediocre food they served is ridiculous. The best think was the prime rib. Everything else was OK any most of it was bad. The temperature of the food was barely warm verging on unsafe. The waiter was wonderful and the room was nice. Very few people were there and now I know why. One of the worse dining experiences I've had especially at that price.

Limited menus... people at our table were served their dishes at different times. I had to request food to be warmed. Waiter was good but had to walk from other side of building to serve us.

The experience was good. It got a little busy at night and I heard the wait time was bad but we reserved a table online and was seated right away. Great food. Husband ordered the burger and I had pork chop. We also shared the beets salad and the cheesecake pudding for dessert. Everything was excellent. The service was top notch as well, our server came and checked on us throughout the dinner. He was polite and very personable. We also went back the next day for breakfast and had the same wonderful experience. It was less crowded and I was able to appreciate the ambiance more than the night prior. I had continental breakfast and the husband had chilaquiles - taste so yummy - almost nostalgic, just like how my MIL makes it. The pancakes were a bit tangy for my taste but that's just a personal preference. Oh the turmeric latte was awesome! The only minor thing I would say that was a bit on the negative side is that the chairs were a little uncomfortable. Overall, an excellent experience and would definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
Wonderful dining experience. Aga was our server, she was absolutely delightful and made our dining experience memorable. We ordered the pasta with lobster, the NY strip, the ONO burger and the pork chop…all were first class dishes and delicious. The strawberry hand pie for dessert was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place.

They have the absolute best staff and service in the mornings, and the food is great also. I work out of that restaurant on occasion and they always take incredible care of me. I will keep going there weekly. Love the place.

Excellent option for date nights with indoor and outdoor seating. Dinner is amazing, especially the Jidori Chicken with polenta (and I'm not typically a fan of polenta). Would love to see a dark chocolate option on the dessert menu. Would definitely eat here again and try out more dishes
