Wow - What an incredible hidden gem Lazy Dog in Oxnard is! My wife and I have been loyal customers at this location for years. We keep coming back time and again because the food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the stellar customer service makes us feel like family. A huge shout out to General Manager Tommy who runs a tight ship - he knows customers by name, checks on tables personally, and ensures everyone on staff provides prompt, attentive care. Kristy is another one of the managers, and her energetic personality, thoughtful recommendations, and attention to detail embody the high bar set by the management team here. Whether enjoying scrumptious appetizers on the patio during happy hour or celebrating a special occasion with their mouthwatering prime rib in the dining room, Lazy Dog Oxnard has become our absolute favorite go-to spot. The portions are generous, ingredients fresh and well-prepared, and menu options diverse with something new to try every visit. We cannot recommend this local gem highly enough to anyone in the area looking for a top-notch dining experience paired with hospitality at its finest. Kudos to Tommy, Kristy, and the entire management and service staff - keep up the fantastic work! You have won our loyalty for life and we look forward to continuing the tradition for years to come. (And I should note - this glowing review is purely from the heart after years of outstanding service, not a paid endorsement in any way!)

My recent experience at Lazy Dog Restaurant left me feeling incredibly dissatisfied and frustrated. I ordered a salad that was advertised to include avocado, but to my dismay, it only had four minuscule, dime-sized bites of avocado. Disappointed but hopeful for a resolution, I politely asked the waitress for more avocado. However, her annoyed reaction was both unprofessional and disheartening. After a considerable wait, she returned with a tiny dressing cup containing a mere five specks of avocado, still nowhere near the amount that should have been included in the salad. It was evident that the restaurant had no intention of providing the ingredients they promised, despite the hefty price tag of $20 for a salad. To make matters worse, the service was incredibly slow. It took an additional 20 minutes for the waitress to bring me a side of dressing, which is an unacceptable delay for such a simple request. The overall lack of attentiveness and efficiency from the staff only added to my disappointment.Furthermore, the quality of the food was far from satisfactory. The salad lacked freshness, and the few avocado pieces I did receive were tasteless and unappetizing. It was clear that Lazy Dog Restaurant failed to prioritize the quality and presentation of their dishes.Considering the exorbitant price, the lack of ingredients, slow service, and unappetizing food, I cannot recommend Lazy Dog Restaurant. The experience left a sour taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. I would advise seeking out other dining options that prioritize customer satisfaction and deliver on their promises.

My only true complaint about this Lazy Dog is that it's not closer to where I live. I love Lazy Dog but there's none in the north 818 so if Ive got a craving, I gotta jump on the 101 and drive up to Oxnard. The staff here is always nothing short of wonderful. They're always friendly, helpful, accommodating for a family with 3 small kids, and in the rare instance that there's a delay in the food coming out or a mistake, they're quick to apologize and make good. It's something I wish other restaurants would do as well. It's not hard to do.Food here is good. It's nothing classy, but it's full of fun, flavorful takes on classic restaurant food. I've had several things here and have never been disappointed. My go to, however, is the PB&J bacon burger. Don't let the PB&J turn you away. It's so good! Perfect blend of sweet & savory. I also want to shout out their beers. They're fantastic. They offer a great beer club subscription that, once again if I lived closer to a location, I would sign up for in a heartbeat. If you live close to this location and like their beers, it seems like a no brainer to me to sign up.

Lazy Dog is, in my opinion, completely underrated. The thoughtfulness that goes into each menu item is clearly seen as you dive into any of their flavorful dishes. Lazy Dog's Sticky Ribs are a true masterpiece. The perfectly tender meat, smothered in a mouthwatering glaze, falls right off the bone with each savory bite. The combination of sweet and tangy flavors is simply divine, making these ribs an absolute must-try for any food lover. Trust me, you won't find ribs like these anywhere else! But wait, it doesn't stop there! The Umami Fries that accompany the ribs take potato cravings to a whole new level. These crispy, golden fries are expertly seasoned with a delightful umami blend that elevates their flavor to new heights. Served with a tantalizing sauce, these fries are an addictive treat that will have you coming back for more. What truly sets Lazy Dog Restaurant apart is their diverse menu. From classic comfort foods to innovative culinary creations, they offer an array of options that cater to all tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, or looking for gluten-free options, Lazy Dog has something for everyone. Their commitment to inclusivity is commendable and ensures that no one leaves unsatisfied. The ambiance at Lazy Dog is warm and inviting, with a rustic charm that adds to the overall experience. The friendly and attentive staff create a welcoming atmosphere, which also highlights the restaurant's attention to detail. Underrated they may be, but Lazy Dog Restaurant is a true culinary gem that deserves your attention. Don't make the mistake of overlooking this extraordinary establishment - it's time to give them the recognition they truly deserve!

Having great customer service and excellent food sitting at the bar. The minute there was a transition at 4 the new employees came in and all the employees could do was visit with each other they completely ignored and forgot about the customers, obviously more important to visit with there friends. As a business owner I know how hard it can be to be consistent, but I watched the employees completely loose there customers, and we all left. This review is for the management, because you have a problem. Great experience until I assume shift change.

Lazy Dog is located at The Collection in Oxnard. It's somewhat between The Cheesecake Factory & Larsen's Grill. Plenty of parking here facing the freeway. And any parking spot in The Collection is walkable. Been to this location several times. Weekends & dinner time can be very busy. They have indoor seating & patio seating available if you want to take your Fur baby. I've dined at both indoor and outdoor seating & had wonderful service during my visits. They can accommodate big groups. Just call ahead to make sure they can take your big party & so they can set up tables if needed. I've been here with groups as small as a party of 2, a party for 5-7 & even a large group of 15.Come here hungry because you will find plenty of Comfort Food Options. There's a variety in their menu & Big portions. There's so much to choose from, there's something for everyone. I definitely have a hard time ordering Because I simply can't choose. I try to order something different each time. My last visit was on a busy Saturday, & didn't wait too long to get seated. The host was polite & the young man who sat us at our table was very friendly. It's a pretty chill atmosphere but it can be loud. Our wonderful server for the night was Esteban. (Sorry if I spelled your name wrong)Esteban, Thank You so much for being so patient with my indecisive & hangry Family. Lol. I do appreciate you checking on us & refilling our drinks without us having to ask. You were definitely on top of things!5/5 Esteban!! :D

I will start by saying that I am not typically a chain restaurant fan. I like to support small business as these big places will always survive. But... this particular Lazy Dog is one of the few exceptions due to their consistency of service and food. My server has always been personable and able to make great recommendations. On my first trip there, they gave a free appetizer which was unexpected and made a very good first impression. I wanted to mix and match a few things from their menu because I'm more of a "I wanna try a little of everything" type of girl. I'm used to restaurants saying no but she was so accommodating and made it happen! My favorite thing here will always be the chicken pot pie. It comes out perfectly golden, hot and so much flavor. Ultimate comfort food status. I ordered a side of their mashed potatoes with the Demi glacé sauce on the side-- OMG, heavenly. Their pot roast is also surprisingly good. It's a nice ambiance even though the country vibe really isn't my thing. The booths are comfortable and allow for good people watching. It can get a little loud when they are busy but it's not unbearable. I'll definitely keep coming back to this location :)

Makeilah has left us speechless on her top tier customer service! We were a party of 6 and there was some confusion on the drink order......but the manager came to the table, introduced herself, what location she was from, and apologized for the inconvenience. Some people are trained to be management but lack the passion or genuine vibe that most customers would gravitate to. Makeilah hit that management role to a ten. Very impressed. Because of her, 6 adults concluded, that no matter how many places we've been to, we've never received service like that.Thank you to the host. Young gentleman that sided with me on everyone leaving me to watch the table. Our server thank you for being polite and consistently checking on us!Thank you to the Manager and Chef!We will all be returning again soon.

I loved everything I got. The road trip bowls are a new menu item. Definitely try them. I got the ahi tuna and it was fresh and delicious. The Jamaican lemonade is part of a non-alcoholic drink. It was really good maybe a tad too sweet for some but it definitely hit the spot. But the star of the show was that butter cake oh my, it was warm and beautiful and decadent along with those strawberries and vanilla ice cream,it truly satisfies!

Every so often I find myself going to Lazy Dog because it's an easy, casual location to eat in large groups. We made a reservation for 13 with no issue. The server was very kind, patient, and stayed well organized as he kept in mind that we wanted to split the bill. He always made sure that we had everything that we needed! As for the food: the wok-fired calamari appetizer can also be like a meal because of the steamed rice, and it was pretty similar to my main order of teriyaki chicken bowl. These weren't particularly special and both were very similar in taste. Street corn fries had a good sauce to fry ratio, and it had a mild kick to it. Next time I'll most likely opt for a burger, sandwich or salad which I've liked more than the rice bowls. Truthfully my favorite dish tonight was the side of fries which had a perfect golden crisp. It was also plentiful and feeds many so it's good for sharing! Overall it was another typical visit to Lazy Dog. I don't necessarily come out for the food as much as I do for a good environment to have dinner with friends and family. Service is always proactive and make sure it's a good experience for all :).

We sat at the bar on a busy cold Thursday night. It was fun! Our bartender was so kind and had the hugest friendliest (non creepy) smile! Chill vibe. Tons of people enjoying their food and drink. Clean place, a bit louder than I'm used to nowadays but a cool hang out! We didn't get food but have in the past. It's nothing spectacular but not mediocre either. Solid 3.5ish.

My experience at Lazy Dogs Restaurant & Bar in Oxnard CA Collection was awesome. I was there with my 3 boys, and they are wild, and my son knocked his drink over into the main walkway. Within a couple seconds the Host at the front called and someone came with a mop and towels & cleaned it up so quick. Even though the spill was extreme they made us feel very grateful and welcomed. Customer Service was great. Members of Lazy Dogs that were involved are: Kelly (Host), Paul H (Server) and Trevor (Manager) as they have extremely good teamwork.
