Girls bathroom had a line and no line for the men’s so my friend and I used the men’s. A staff member came over while I was protecting the men’s entrance and grabbed me and started manhandling me and yelling. I was very scarred. Never will set foot in there again.

The Rudder Room on Hollywood Beach in Oxnard is a classic California dive bar.
Sit inside and soak up the ambiance. Or better yet, step out the back door and watch the ocean or a few dozen sea lions cavort on the sand.
There are three sand volleyball courts. But it’s fun just to sit back and enjoy the scenery with a cold one in hand and enjoy life.
Bring cash for your tab. Plastic not welcome.

Chill lil bar on the beach.. a bit crowded when they get people in there 2 pool tables.. i lile this lil oddity.. pretty sure its cash only .. drinks are cold..

It's right on the beach..it definitely a community Bar.. but generally all are welcome it's ruff around the edges but that's why I love the place..definitely a historical Bar..I've been going there over 45 years ...

Went back to visit after 44 years. Time had stood still! Everything was exactly the way I left it. I remember a bar tender/owner by the name of Stu who always was ready to "drop kick" those who misbehaved!...lol
