This place has me kind of befuddled. Let me start out by saying, as someone who loves Korean food this is easily the best Korean food in Ventura county, probably some of the best you'll get outside of Los Angeles. The Galbi is tender well seasoned and on point, side dishes are fresh, authentic and they serve what might be some of the best kimchi you'll try outside of Korea. Now for what has me scratching my head....what you see in this picture is a dinner entree with side dishes a small side of soup, rice and a side of gochujang. For all of this including tax but no tip was almost 49 dollars! 49 dollars for a decent but not large portion of excellent food, just enough for one person. This same amount of food from a similarly top rated Korean restaurant in Los Angeles, San Diego Bay area etc would not be more than about 35 to 38 dollars. I know that its outside of a major market/city and with inflation and everything, but geez almost 50 bucks for 1 plate of Kalbi togo....Its hard to understand how management can justify those prices. That being said, the price won't keep me from returning, i just find it hard to understand why the prices are so high. I guess you pay a premium for premium Korean food in this part of the state.

I used to love coming here. The portions were great.
I always ordered the soft tofu with seafood and it was always delicious and well ratioed with seafood.
Well today I ordered it and it was really disappointing. I barely had any seafood. It was mainly tofu. Its a pricey soup and its definitely not worth it because of the lack of seafood.
I told the server about it, she was nice enough to talk to the chef. She then took my bowl to the chef and the chef said he put the same amount as he always does.
I told the waitress that I have gotten this before several times and I have been coming here for years and it used to have more seafood.
The waitress then talks to the owner. The waitress said the owner said the portions are the same as always.
I told the waitress there is no way this has always been the same portion. I have always been happy to get this soup and I have never complained before until now. This is ridiculous. And I even showed her that every time I spooned my soup all I kept getting was only tofu.
There was sadly nothing she can do.
3 tiny pieces of squid legs, 3 tiny clams and one shrimp is a joke and a total rip off!! Don't lie to me and say the portions never changed. You can't BS a now former loyal customer.
I will never return here. Thanks for nothing!

Kura is amazing! I lived here 5 years and never tried it! Authentically Korean- per my Korean boyfriend haha- we had the stone bowls and they came out sizzling! So delicious and the rice got that crispy bottom. Yum! And the banchan and soup was divine. They even gave us more when we ran low. The servers were very attentive. It's a little on the pricier side but it is worth it!

OVERPRICED for the portion of the dish ,Slow service , food came out super slow some of the Korean older waitresses r not nice at all. Overall not a pleasant experience. Won’t be back .
One of the better Korean lunches I’ve had. And what I didn’t order that went out looked even better. Great flavors, friendly staff. A little pricy but the potions warrant paying a little extra.

THE BEST KOREAN FOOD I’VE TRIED. I even went to some LA ones but this place is my favorite. My favorite order is the bulgogi stone bowl and the jajangmyeon!
My wife and I came here on a Saturday night for date night and were really impressed with the food. I will start out by saying it was a touch more expensive than I realized, but we also haven’t been out to dinner in a while because we have kids.
The service was amazing. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was super kind and helped us understand the menu. We decided to share the Bulgogi, and we also decided to share a tempura appetizer. The tempura was great. The mixed tempura came with a good version of vegetables and a couple shrimp.
I was really impressed how tasty the Bulgogi was and how large the dinner portion was. It was enough for my wife and I to share and to feel satisfied in the meal. You also have to make sure to get the side dishes. They are so good at the end of our meal, my wife said I wanna come here again

I love Korean food and this place rocks. Great home made Kim chi. Tofu soup was excellent. Also the dolset Bim Bim Bop which you see in the picture along with radish soup and the different little starter dishes that are included with the entrees. Not super cheap but not pricey either. Generous portions. Worth every penny. Nice wait staff too and quick.
We chose Sura for something different to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The food was very good especially the orange chicken. We chose dishes to share and Sura accommodated us with extra plates. Ended up being a little more pricey than expected but would love to go back and try the sizzling hot pots.

So I randomly choose Sura as a place for me and a bunch of friends to try and we were not disappointed. I called the restaurant in advance and they were happy to take on a large party of up to 15 people (we had 13 actually show up). The food was well presented and delicious. One warning: what they call 'mild' tasted 'medium' as to the spicy level. We had and shared so many different dishes it would be difficult to pick a favorite.

The food tastes terrible. The tofu soup tastes like plain water with MSG for seasoning. It’s more like a thin broth than a stew. The meat dishes are too sweet, so I don't think they suit Korean tastes. I won't be going back again.
Sura is as authentic as you can get! Don't be fooled by the fact that there aren't any Korean characters on their menu. My parents and I tried the black bean noodles (jjajangmyeon), spicy rice cakes (ddukbokgi), soft tofu soup (soondubu), and spicy beef stew (yukgaejang). Everything was superb. We were gushing and saying how we felt like we were in Seoul again :'). Only feedback is that the spicy rice cake appetizer should definitely have more than ten rice cakes. It's an expensive dish so we were surprised that we had to search for the rice cakes. This is the only non-traditional aspect, so we really can't complain. If you want an authentic Korean meal, come to Sura!!

Terrible treatment from Asia, my family just because I brought some drinks from somewhere else got angry. The waitress never came back. I was a customer. The waitress is one who has a tattoo on her arm and gives terrible service.
Very good Korean food, but the prices are quite high
