Generally a good “go-to” in the neighborhood. I wished I like Sea Fresh better, but its has pretty much given up as far as I can tell. Paper plates and plastic utensils 5 years after COVID? Nah.
Anyway, I have done happy hour at Waterside -- great menu and service at the bar. The wings were hot and tasty. I subsequently went for brunch one weekend. The chicken caesar was fresh, lots of cheese, chicken and croutons, but quite dry with not a lot of dressing. My fault for not asking for additional dressing, but I was busy talking. I have also had dinner and enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. The staff seems to really try. I appreciate that. A famous chef I know recommended the creme brulee, but I have yet to try it.

My friends and I shared a Thanksgiving Day meal (I had salmon, they had turkey) and we all agreed it was a fabulous experience. Great table at the window with a view of the harbor (and a great blue heron), very attentive service (even though it was very busy!) and just a very pleasant environment. A tad noisy after a large family group was seated nearby, but once they got their food it returned to a normal level.

I come to The Waterside primarily to see live music, namely Sean Wiggins. Today I sat at the Bar and John the Bartender was FANTASTIC! Best service ever and his espresso martinis are to die for!!

I was working in the area and this was my second visit and first time for brunch. I Truly enjoyed the experience. I do recommend sitting outside on the patio on a beautiful, sunny Socal day. The live band was excellent and played a wide variety of music from jazz to rock n roll. The waiters and waitresses were polite, professional and attentive. Nice casual afternoon.

It might go to when I'm in Oxnard. Everybody is so lovely. They're starting to know me my name! It's just a wonderful little place. Food is always good. Service is amazing. People are super friendly and they have music sometimes on Sundays for brunch. Next time I'm gonna try to make that
We had a wonderful Saturday night experience, sitting outside at The Waterside. They had a duo playing guitars that provided a fabulous ambience. I had the short ribs that you could cut with a fork, my significant other had the chicken Paillard. His was not exactly what he expected, more of a salad, lots of arugula with the chicken beneath it, but he enjoyed it. Great view of the harbor and very good service. We would highly recommend with the live music being a PLUS.
