I have not been inside the bakery in a very long time and because I was in town I decided to come check it out. Back in the mid 1990's, It was a place I frequently went to pick up cakes. My mom loved their cakes and fillings.I was somewhat disappointed that all they had available was a few muffins, pies, crossiants and tarts in the case. Found this place's booth at the ventura farmers market a couple weeks ago and bought a loaf of cheddar sourdough bread. This is the best cheddar sourdough I've ever had and easily top 5 sourdough breads overall. Handily competes with any Bay area bread can't wait to get to the full bakery!
Bought bran muffins at the Ventura Farmers Market, and they are the best bran muffins I have ever eaten. Great mixture of honey and brown sugar, butter, whole wheat flour, bran, pineapple and raisins. Wow. Highly recommend them.
