latte was really watery/flavorless, then I realized there were a bunch of coffee grounds in my coffee. perhaps they didn’t change out the grounds from the last espresso shot they made. super disappointing:(

Captain + Stoker is an excellent choice for coffee in Pacific Grove! They are open early and offer delicious coffee and baked goods. This location is very small, so you may have to wait outside, but drinks came out quickly.

The best place to get high quality coffee in Monterey. Latte is flavorful and aromatic and the almond milk enhances the coffee instead of diluting it.
We have been to both Captain + Stoker locations but we prefer the Pacific Grove one more. It is a slightly out-of-the-way, but there is never a wait and service is fast.
Every time we visit Pacific Grove, we always have to make 3 to 4 stops. At this coffee shop, it has the best chai i've ever had, and it's always consistent every time and my husband loves their coffee.

Dank coffee, good service, house made vanilla?! 🤤 yeah its worth visiting. My 4month old ordered the Mocha (iced) and absolutely turned up. 10 out of 10 will revisit next time we’re in town.
