Jordan was a fantastic server and the food was absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend the ravioli appetizer!
From the outside, I didn't expect the charming restaurant inside. Really charming. Handmade pasta really made a difference in all the dishes we ordered. The Italian caesar salad was a super starter and clam chowder yummy. We loved the pasta dishes we ordered although tempted by the fish and meat choices. We ate up at the bar and the bartender was a great conversationalist and server. The tables around us were filled and everyone seemed to be enjoying the ambiance and food. Prices were reasonable. Be sure to make a reservation since very popular place.
Nice place to get some GOOD Italian food. We try and eat here whenever we come to Pacific Grove.
Many years ago I went to Il Vecchio, I did not have a pleasant experience then but now.....it was fabulous!! The ownership changed, the dishes are true Italian cuisine. The portions are so large you definitely will want a take home box.
Excellent dinner! Everyone in our party of 4 loved the dinner choices we made. Our server was very attentive, the cocktails were made perfectly...but their food is amazing. We can't wait to return.
The food was superb, such delicious handmade pasta. For my entre, the saffron seafood, every bit of seafood was perfectly prepared. Not overcooked, not undercooked, it was just perfect. The saffron cream sauce was delicate and delicious. Our server was so nice and very helpful. He steered us to the right entrees for the night, to the right wines for pairing. And just delightful atmosphere overall. Hope to revistt that experience many, many times!
Our party of 4 enjoyed it. The food was delicious. My only issue was with the bathrooms. Should have been cleaner!
One of our favorite local restaurants. Always reliable and excellent. Great food and service.
Food was ok server forgot a couple dishes so they took them off the bill. Place is small, parking is ok. I have had better Italian but we were recommended this place and was told it was good. it was Average at best.
We were treated like tourists. It was chilly, and when I asked to change tables twice, the hostess did her best with an attitude to convince me not to do it. Our waiter told us there was a steak special with shrimp which was basically 4 shrimp added on top. Turns out, we werent charged a special price. It was the regular steak price plus the addition of a shrimp scampi. We ordered the fried artichokes appetizer. It was brought out with our meal rather than prior to the meal, and many of them did not have any artichoke in them. Just fried batter.

As I have said many times before, this is a local's favorite! Friendly server Lisa and helper Jorge were right on the ball, bringing our beverages and starter! Try the new White Negroni! Awesome! Well-priced wines by the glass, esp love the Barbera! Nicely dressed Caesar Salad, followed by a new menu item - Ricotta-filled Agnolotti on a bed of beef brisket ragú! Excellent! And since we were celebrating a birthday, Lisa presented a yummy Tiramisu on the house! She's truly a gem of a server ~ ask to sit in her section if you can! Such a fun and cozy ambience, we always return again and again!
A nice restaurant frequented by locals. The menu added cream to too many of the dishes for my tastes. And, for someone who has traveled extensively in Italy, the menu was non traditional, even a bit odd. The pasta was superbly made and cooked.
The service was one of the worst/slowest forgetful experiences we have had, with a long delay in first greeting to drink orders not coming until we were nearly finished with our dinner plate and ready to get the check. Our food was brought to the table and we had no utensils to use to eat the dish with. The table tha sat adjacent to us has the same experience unfortunately. The food was good but not to the level of Italian delicious as expected. An unfortunate experience for a date night out that my wife and I get only a couple times a year apart from our life raising three young kids.
IL Vecchio was a wonderful place to stop by tonight for a bite to eat. We got sat in a booth by the window that was tucked away and very cozy. Our server Jordan is fantastic at giving options on wine and an all around good experience.
Good food, wonderful service, great atmosphere. Went for birthday and was treated great. Personalized service.
