My husband and I had an excellent experience tonight. We didn’t have a reservation and were able to snag 2 seats at the bar. Arturo, the bartender, was precious. He was so friendly, happy, and was extremely attentive… he refilled my soda water multiple times without me having to ask. That kind of service used to be an expectation, but the industry today isn’t quite what it was. The food we ordered was delicious too! Definitely order a cocktail, the burrata, and pappardelle (we got a lamb one and a veggie one)! We will be back.

Getting married in a few days down in Paso Robles and stopped at this gem going through Monterey. Excellent wine selection, decent prices, outstanding pasta. Carbonara and spaghetti w/ meatballs hit the heart!!

We had a reservation for Christmas Eve and to our surprise the restaurant was closed. Nobody from the restaurant reached out either via text or email that the restaurant was closed. We had to find a last minute substitute. Very unprofessional!

My son and I had dinner last night. My son had the Chicken Marsala and I had the Sea Bass special. The meal was excellent by any standard, especially the sauces. Furthermore the waiter too was excellent, lastly there was a 3 piece band playing and they were great. Especially the young woman singing, beautiful voice. Great dinner and great atmosphere. Thanks to the entire staff and the 3 person band.

Every pasta fresh and handmade. Killer cocktails. Everything was spectacular.
Food was served piping hot, just the way I like it! Today we had the Oso Bucco Beef Gnocchi with garlic cheese bread, meatballs and Berry Burrata salad! Flavors were phenomenal, food was fresh, meatballs were not reheated! Come here now! Your taste buds deserve it!

For food? For Italian? Thank the lord above! Order the lasagna! Dish of the night! Still getting used to American serving sizes We order meals and share which more than anything lets every one try different things. We had the short rib with roasted vege and honey roasted carrots , amazing The old boy had the chick masala and didn’t share. The kids had huge bowls of spaghetti and meatballs. One (14)had chicken Alfredo. Kids smashed it miss 14 lick the bowl.

With many choices in the Monterey and Pacific Grove area we picked IL VECCHIO after doing some quick research. My wife and I had the mussels to start and each had a pasta dish. Each was excellent and as good as I’ve had anywhere. The lamb in my wife’s dish was outstanding and the homemade wide noddles had a great texture and taste. The only thing I was not 100% pleased with was the fact we were charged $6.00 for a few pieces of bread with oil & balsamic vinaigrette. I will definitely come back if I’m in the area but I will not be ordering bread. If you want extra Parmesan cheese on your dish you need to ask for it. If you want a nice local spot in a pleasant but no frills environment with outstanding food this restaurant is an excellent choice.
