Great food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. What took us so long to find this wonderful rrstaurant.

The food and presentation were excellent. The ambience was very pleasant and not overcrowded. We all ordered different entrees and each was enjoyed. The cannoli was delicious.

I don't know who was in the kitchen making the delicious meals because the chef/owner was everywhere! He was clearing tables, seating diners, delivering checks and schmoozing. The food was still as good as we remembered from one other time. We both ordered veal because we rarely see it on menus. It was offered fixed with 4 different sauces; I chose Marsala, my BF chose piccata which I think I preferred once I tried both. The ambiance of the room is fun with pretty yellow walls, large posters of mostly Parisian things, I believe, and pleasant track lighting to highlight them. As their own description says, it still serves on white table cloths and for the prices they charge, I don't know where else you would find that kind of sophistication. I was offered spumoni as a bday treat but I also ordered tiramisu and it was so good it made me overcome my guilt...almost.

La Mia Cucina is truly a neighborhood gem. It was my first time, but I went with a long time resident. The food (and wine) was excellent, the service was attentive, warm and very helpful, and the ambience ideal for both date night and celebrations, except for the overly loud and raucous.

Our server explained the specials and answered all of our questions. The house wine is great and reasonably priced. The lasagna was amazing. Food came out at a nice pace, not too fast or slow. Will definitely return.

Everything we ordered was more than delicious - every bite was a little taste of heaven! Everything on the menu is made from scratch and amazing. Paula & Michael make their guests feel as though you’re being welcomed into their home. The service is impeccable. We can’t wait to go back.

We celebrated our Anniversary at La Mia Cucina. Everything was perfect! Our server, Luis, was polite and attentive. Everyone made sure we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Lobster Ravioli and the Eggplant Parmigiana were so delicious!

Three hungry women (a Vegetarian, a Gluten Free & Foodie) were looking for an “Good” Italian restaurant for dinner, and discovered La Mia Cuchina in Pacific Grove. Service staff was very attentive, he explained the specials and was responsive to our many questions. They had multiple vegetarian options (The Eggplant Parmesan was very good). They could accommodate some of their entrees and had gluten free pasta (Bolognese pasta) They offered two gluten free desserts: Crème Brûlée and Sorbet. The Crème Brûlée was delicious. Our Foodie found the Calamari appetizer was well prepared, thinly sliced and tender. The homemade lasagna with meat sauce was flavorful but would have preferred a more traditional layered structure.

One of our two favorite Italian restaurants in the Monterey area. Paula and Michael are fantastic and their staff is excellent. Oh, and the food is exactly right.

We visit Monterey every year for Car Week and we would not miss an opportunity to return to La Mia Cucina. Paula welcomes us, Michael cooks for us, and Giovanni serves us. The food is delicious, the wine selection is excellent and reasonably priced, and the service is gracious and helpful. One of these days I will bring enough people to order one of the large-format bottles of wine they have tantalizingly displayed throughout the restaurant. Most of them have real wine in them and there are some treasures.

Main reason for visiting Pacific Grove/Monterey is to have dinner at La Mia Cucina. Best Italian food ever. Grew up in San Francisco with many excellent places to eat still this is my favorite. People are so friendly and the service is the best. Could eat here everyday but the commute might kill me.
