This gem in Pacific Grove, Monterey Peninsula, offers one of the best dining experiences on the peninsula. It serves some of the best Italian food, and the service is impeccable.
Every time we go to Mezza Luna, we have fabulous food, good service, and a great time!
BARGAIN! I find that most Italian restaurants are the "same old, same old". Good, decent, predictable, unremarkable, unmemorable. Not so with this one. Interesting menu with fresh and homemade pasta, novel sauces, house made mozzarella, house made gelato and sorbetto. You wont find these flavors anywhere else. Didn't have cocktails as wines by the glass were interesting and very well priced. If you're a spirits drinker there's a couple of Bourbon choices that are very hard to find. Service was efficient and professional. They were there when needed-none of this fake, too talky stuff. At a time when inflation is affecting restaurant prices severely , this business offers value across the menu. Definitely returning soon to try several other dishes.
Mezzaluna is a great local restaurant that we frequent in most visits to the Monterey/Carmel area. The food is consistently good and the service is friendly, warm, and welcoming.
Excellent food most importantly! Caesar salad and all pastas were great for our party of 3. Service was also friendly and outstanding.
I Dined at Mezza Luna on April 12th with some old friends and had a fantastic meal. The service was friendly, efficient and timely and the food was nothing short of delicious. I really loved our experience and found the family of brothers and sisters that work and manage this fine establishment to be fun, informative and caring. I give Mezza Luna and their workers my highest imaginable rating. Andrew K Russick Vice President, Sales & Marketing Pacific Coast Producers
It was a special event for us, and everything was handled in a very special way by the entire staff. The Maitre'd {Freddie} and our waiter {Rafael} were really exceptional. They made our Dining experience something we won't ever forget. We recommend Mezzaluna to anyone looking for a special dining experience. Ed & Gloria

I had the Ravioli de Manzo. Excellent, very rich. All in our party were happy. Seems like a very loyal clientele.

I’m giving this 1 star review which I have never done in my life. It’s not because of the food or the service, but the time limit on your meal. What started off as a fun evening with a friend visiting from the east coast ended with the worst experience all three of us have ever had (all in our mid 60’s so that says a lot). We had a reservation on Friday 10/25 at 6:15. It was quite busy but we were promptly seated. We each enjoyed the lobster bisque soup and the 3 cheese appetizer as well as wine with our entrees. We were having a great time. After our meal, the waitress asked if wanted desert but instead came back with the bill. We paid the bill and not 5 minutes later the person that seated us came to the table and asked if we enjoyed the meal. We happily said yes. He then asked us to leave as there was another reservation for our table! We were dumbfounded and promptly got up and left. I’ve never ever had that experience in my life and neither have my friends. The problem is there was an empty table right next to us and NO WAITING PATRONS. As I said, we arrived at 6:15. It was 8:30 when we left and the restaurant crowd was dying down. We were actually leaving anyway when he approached us, but it was just so unsettling. It really made us all wonder how long they were watching us waiting for us to leave. It ruined a really special night because it insinuated we did something wrong. While a 2+ hour dinner might be a bit long, it did not appear there was anyone waiting, and as I said earlier we were leaving, we just didn’t get a chance after receiving the bill 5 minutes earlier. No meal is good enough to leave feeling like that. If there is a time limit on your meal, post it on your website. Thumbs down.

Came here as a "cheat day" of sorts. Service is impeccable. The bread that is served is so very tasty. I could have made a meal just out that. The pasta is devine. The pictures I took weren't great, but I don't care. I was in a hurry to get the food in my mouth. My husband enjoyed the wine offered as well. Well worth coming here. Be sure to get a reservation.

If there was more stars from food I would give them unfortunately we had a miscommunication on the price of wine which double the price ouch. And manager would not help at all not cool. We will be back. I appreciate your response but you never made any comment about the wine I paid $85 when your waiter said it was 43 that was very disappointing!

The restaurant can get busy, so it's best to make a reservation. The restaurant has a nice vibe, great staff, and service. We ordered and shared the Insalata Tricolore salad. My wife ordered the Linguine Con Aragosta. She said it was good but not great. I ordered the Rigatoni Alla Buttera and loved every bite. They also served bread with olive oil and chopped olives, pretty tasty. We also shared the Tiramisu, which was not on the menu but delicious. This place is pricey, but we would both recommend this restaurant.

A wonderful stay. We felt very welcome. The food is fantastic. Be sure to come here and avoid the touristy restaurants at the harbor.
