Terrible customer service.Quality has also been on the decline, with regard to portion sizes. We ordered the #6 Combination Platter, which cost $70.This place is a pick-up only, meaning you leave immediately and drive away with your food.Upon arriving home, the platter had no wasabi. We called immediately and the person answering the phone stated he couldn’t do anything and said he’d have to check with his manager. He took my name and number.I received a call back, and I asked for a partial credit to offset the fact I had just spent $70 + tip and there wasn’t any wasabi. He said if I drive back I could get some, or the only other thing he could do is refund me $0.75 for the wasabi.I asked if he thought it was acceptable to send out a platter of that size and cost without wasabi, and he said “Yes.”This is ridiculously unacceptable. Putting out that amount of money to receive an unfinished platter with undersized tuna nigiri and tiny tekka maki and kappa maki, was insulting.I will never risk another order here. If Ocean Sushi undervalues their product and their reputation, they certainly don’t deserve my business.

15 dollar beef curry with only two pieces of beef, a total rip off.

This is a perfect to go sushi spot for take out. They are one of the few local sushi places that does party platters and they are at an incredible price! I called for a party order for 12 and they had it ready within 40 minutes!

A must visit if you’re in PG or Monterey! Ocean Sushi provides incredible service and their sushi is the best in town. The jumbo futo maki roll and maki rolls are our favorite. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful find for take-out! We ordered the unagi bento. Everything was fresh and delicious! A filling meal with unagi over rice, a salad, and pickled veg!

I had high hopes for this corner sushi place because I decided to give it a try after passing it by so many times. Ordered #3 dinner special. Unfortunately, the yakitori was oddly bland and undercooked and the salad was a questionable mixture of fresh with old greens. Maybe it was a one - off day for this eatery. But based on this, and the high price for the quality that was purchased, I do not recommend. Hopefully the food gets better but I don’t know if I will venture to give it another go.
Really nice people and a good little selection of Japanese staples. Looking forward to trying the curry next time!
It was just a decent meal...there was no need to order dinner deluxe.
This place is not authentic for the dishes I ordered
Let me break down why
Takoyaki (Octopus balls)
- The dough was very raw and uncooked.
- Octopus inside was overly tough
- The mayo is supposed to go on top and it's supposed to be a Japanese mayo like Kewpie mayo, not an American mayo. The taste of Japanese mayo is different and far superior. I included a comparison of the mayo they gave me and some Kewpie mayo I had in my fridge.
- No katsuobushi ( Bonito flakes) or other usual toppings
Onigiri (rice triangle with filling wrapped in seaweed)
- Too thin
- Rice was overcooked
I hope you don't eat at this place and think to yourself "I don't like Japanese food".
This place does not represent Japanese food well.

Ocean Sushi has some of the best sushi that I have had outside of Japan.

Very nice and delicious sushi
Great food. Great people.
I've been coming to this little shop for years for affordable and reliably-tasty sushi. Wonderful service! I love the rice paper candy and the sushi bento box. I'll be coming back again and again.
