We really like this place and pick up food often. Their salt and pepper cod is the best fish (like fish and chips but even better). Love their eggplant too! JUNE 2021

Disgusting! I’m not sure what is this, but I’m sure so won’t come back!

Was torn between a 3 and a 4. The food is tasty but the Monterey area has some very good Chinese food. I rated it higher because the prices are very good. If you want a simple Chinese dish to fill you up. This would be a good option. I just wish the hot and sour soup was better. The combo fried rice satisfied and was good.

The quality of their food has gone down. The broccoli beef was full of gristly, flavorless meat. The vegetable chow mien was made from thin noodles and was very greasy. It was overall a disappointing meal.

I am so grateful for finding this place. The food is prepared with expertise and is both flavorful and fresh. None of that cheap oily, salty stuff at the usual neighborhood Chinese place.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant on the Monterey Peninsula and I eat here weekly. The owners are very kind and the vegetarian options are excellent. Portion sizes are generous, and prices are low for the quality of the food and cooking. I don't mind doing takeout but I do wish they had some heated outdoor seating for pandemic times.

Food quality very disappointing. Chicken rubbery, soup bland. Egg rolls awful. Really was hoping it would be good so I could return and be a regular customer.

This food was a step down from mediocre. One star for having a vegetarian selection and one star for being open on Christmas. Anyone saying this food has flavor doesn't have taste buds.

Even though we requested two of our dishes to be very spicy, everything we received was bland with no flavor... I had ordered the general's chicken (inside of which I found a hair), kung pao chicken, walnut shrimp, fried rice and chow fun. The meat was chewy and seemed like it had been reheated several times. The food was hot and delivery was quick but that was about the only thing good... Everything was so bad I basically threw away $70 worth of food as it was inedible. Needless to say I will not be going back.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. It's close to my house and I love Chinese food but this was some of the worst that I've had in recent memory. I ordered (10-3-20) Chicken Chow Fun and Kung Pao Chicken which I feel are pretty standard items that any Chinese restaurant should be able to do well. When the order was delivered I was excited by the large portions but as soon as I took my first bite the large portions immediately became a burden. Everything was bland, mushy and sooooo greasy. I know cheap Chinese food is usually pretty greasy but this was a bit over the top. The chicken had a consistency which made me think it had spent the last several hours (maybe days) sitting in warm oil. I could only bring myself to eat a small portion of the food before putting it in my refrigerator. Tried eating the leftovers the next day hoping the refrigeration had somehow improved the food but it had not and I couldn't bring myself to eat much more. I ended up throwing out ~70% of the food. I'm hoping this was a fluke and I do plan to give them a second try with different menu items but it may take some time for me to work up the courage.

First time ordering here tonight, for a change, to find out if they deliver the kind of food others are saying. First off, ordering was quick and prices are acceptable. The thing that I/we don't like is the CHICKEN MEAT that they use for their Kung Pao dish and Fried Rice. It taste bitter and too soft - kind of like the texture of canned chicken meat. We forced ourselves to eat our order just because we were hungry but we just couldn't enjoy it. The steamed pork dumplings have hollow area filled with water (or broth). I am rating it 2 stars just because my daughter somehow likes the wonton soup. That's my honest review.
