Aim for Saturday. Email response doesn't happen (haven't gotten a reply in 3 weeks.)(It's from a yahoo email address asking about 10/22.)

Even though it says it should be open, it’s not. Too bad we were looking forward to a cider.

Such a fun stop after our bike tour! Learned a lot and tasted some delicious ciders. Very homey

Drove here after the 17 mile drive only to find a sign posted stating they're open SOME Sundays.

Great local gem. Buy a bottle for $10! Tastings are 15$ over 5 different varieties of pear and apple drinks. Tim has a great story behind the cidery here. No frills, just good drinks.Look for a small A-sign on the street with a balloon attached to it. Drive all the way into the commercial business plaza.

We did a hard cider tasting and bought a couple bottles. If in Monterey Carmel area it a must stop.

Fantastic ciders. The tasting room is quite small and there wasn't anybody else there when we went. They have 5 different ciders to try for 15 dollars - mostly pear ciders and one dry apple cider. The owner is great and told us all about how the pear ciders are made.

I was told by the owner that if you see balloons outside, the place is open for tasting. This place is tucked in the commercial yard across from the lumber yard so the balloons are a handy beacon to this tiny space. Each time I have had the pleasure of having the owner there to explain the process and differences between their offerings and it is apparent a lot of work goes into their cider. The tasting menu usually has 4-6 different products, each distinctly different than the last. The biggest surprise for me is their brandi perra. It is similar to a port or apple brandy but made with pears. I was hesitant at first, but have purchased a bottle and taken it to a few parties and it is a hit. If youre in the market for something you probably can't find any where within 100 miles, give this place a shot. Just look for the balloons!!

Amazing cider served by local owners, made with pears and apples, and also an amazing brandy made with pears. So good!!

Amazing cider and perry, better than any beer or wine we've had. Cider this good is a rare find, and it's a great stop along the bike trail. Highly recommended.

We have just moved to Monterey and drove by their tasting room and stopped in and we are certainly glad we did! We haven't done a Cider Tasting before and it was really fun to learn about the different ciders. Pacific Grove CiderWorks makes hard apple cider and pear cider (Perry). In addition, they have a Sparkling Perry and a Gold-Medal-Winning Brandiperra (their unique Pear Port). The cider maker, Tim, is a wonderful host and creates a fantastic environment to try these ciders. If you are looking for something different in the Pacific Grove area, I would highly recommend coming by and experiencing something wonderful!
