This is one of my favorite places to get coffee with friends of a date. Service is quick. The dining room is super chill and cozy and it feels like a greenhouse. Their coffee selection is simple but well done. Their pastries are pretty good too-- I've yet to try much, but I'm excited to try more.

Driving out of town and stopped here… wish we had time to sit down and eat but so worth the stop. Quiche and croissants were amazing!!!! Have a box of sweets to enjoy at home with the kids.

Delicious! Had some time to kill and stopped by and picked up a variety of treats to try including an apple carmel pastry, a macaroon, a macaron, a pumpkin muffin and a mini danish. So yummy! We will make sure to stop here now whenever we are in town.

Gracious and informative server. Great pastries. The quiche is to die for! My husband declared it to be the best ever.

The people who work here were super friendly and patient. They gave us great service. They have plenty of parking in their lot. They were fairly deserted on a Thurs around 8:00/8:15, but got pretty busy shortly thereafter. We had their mocha, pecan snail, and their quiche Loraine. Their quiche is the second best one we have ever had and was the best one since the 1990s. Most quiches are dense and processed and/or have dried out crust and do not put in many ingredients such as ham, etc. Not so here. Their quiche was fluffy, had a good amount of ham, and a moist crust. The only issue was that the quiche/egg filling was a little too thin. If it was a little thicker with the same fluffiness it would have been even more awesome, but it was pretty great as is. The pecan snail (cinnamon roll with pecans) was sweet, but not overly so. The mocha was nothing special, but it was ok. There is ample seating on the covered patio, but the more limited seating near the counter was much warmer on a cold rainy Dec morning. It was fairly quiet until a lot of people came in around 8:15/8:30. They do not seem to have plugs like Starbucks, but if they will let you sit here to study, the atmosphere is great for that here. The bathroom is outside at the back of the building. Tips: (1) when ordering quiche ask for a "slice" of the big quiche, do NOT get the mini quiches, (2) if cold, then sit at tables near the register, NOT the enclosed patio, and (3) toilet is outside at the back of the building. Overall, this is an awesome place for breakfast and we will definitely be back next time we are in the area. We recommend you give these guys a try.

Such a lovely place with a good variety of bakery items as well as a menu of food items. The dining room is just beautiful! We tried some petite opera cake, chocolate cake and regular sized chocolate croissants. All were delicious!

We ordered a birthday cake for my Mom from this little bakery. It was a Framboisier cake - chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and raspberries. The cake was amazing, and beautifully decorated. The price was reasonable, the staff was friendly, and the cake was ready on time. I would definitely recommend this bakery. A

Patisserie Bechler, a charming bakery located on the Monterey Peninsula, is an absolute gem! We used this authentic French bakery for our daughter’s wedding, and we could not have been more pleased with the result!Gérard, the pâtissier/owner wholly realized my daughter’s French wedding cake dream – the Croquembouche. Gérard went way beyond the classic croquembouche, crafting the reception’s pièce-de résistance. The guests were all in admiration of this piece of art, including the French relatives who contemplated whether their local pâtissiers back home could get close to creating such a beautiful croquembouche. We were sold on Patisserie Bechler from our first meeting with Gérard. Having arrived a bit early for our meeting, I was graciously welcomed by a staff member who sat me at a table, in the lovely Alsace-decorated seating area, with a cup of coffee. Gérard showed up right on time, with a huge smile and a “let’s make your daughter’s dream come true” attitude. Gérard has an incredible personality! He is engaging, warm, full of humor and goodness. We face-timed my daughter for the meeting since she was not local. Gérard took notes and shared photos of croquembouches he had prepared for past weddings.Gérard also guided us in selecting an assortment of petits-fours to complement the flavors and aesthetics of the croquembouche centerpiece. We held one more meeting to finalize details. Gérard also volunteered to communicate with our wedding florist about decorating the croquembouche with fresh flowers, one of our daughter’s visions. The result could not have been more perfect! Not only were the croquembouche’s dual-flavored choux and assortment of petits-fours delicious, but the visuals of the dessert table were exquisite. Guests were overheard stating it was all too beautiful to be eaten! We wholeheartedly recommend Patisserie Bechler for any special occasion. Gérard’s undeniable artisanship will permit him to craft any design or specific request. The process will be a delight and the result will be flawless. Lastly, we were enormously grateful that for such high-quality craftsmanship, Gérard’s prices are extremely reasonable. We may be done with weddings for a while in our family, but anytime we are in the Monterey Peninsula area, we will be certain to stop at Patisserie Bechler for a delicious treat and a delightful chat with Gérard!

Most reasonably priced pastries in the area and delicious too.

They were so respectful and completely confident in exactly what I wanted , and suggested more things that everybody loved . I didn't even think of picking up a Quiche just to heat in the oven for the following day. Which truly gave me the reflection time of the fun stories and smiles we shared.
