In the scenic town of Monterey, nestled among the more prominent establishments, you'll find a hidden gem, the unassuming shack known as The Grill on Lover's Point. This quaint and cozy eatery, perched right on the ocean's edge, offers an unexpectedly delightful culinary experience. The menu, though simple, showcases the art of grilling in its purest form. During my visit, I sampled one of their mouth-watering burgers, a choice that I now recall with great fondness. The patty was expertly grilled to just the right temperature, achieving a balance of a juicy interior and a beautifully charred exterior. It was a symphony of flavors that reminded me of the intrinsic beauty of simple, unpretentious food. The Grill on Lover's Point doesn't rely on fancy décor or elaborate presentations; instead, it thrives on the natural beauty of its surroundings. The rhythmic cadence of the crashing waves and the enticing aroma of the grill form the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable seaside dining experience. In essence, The Grill on Lover's Point serves as a testament to the beauty of simplicity. It's a place where the love for grilling and the passion for quality shine through in every dish. I wholeheartedly recommend their grilled burger, a dish that manages to rise above the ordinary and delight the senses in every way.In conclusion, The Grill on Lover's Point isn't merely a spot to grab a quick bite; it's a destination, an experience, and a tribute to the joy of seaside grilling. Do yourself a favor and don't miss out on this unique place when in Monterey.

Great location of walking back from the lighthouse towards MontereyIt is “cash only” and no cards and that is pretty odd as easy to get a tap machineThe seafood was fine but was not what I ordered… Maybe distracted xx
Tried only their french fries and they were absolutely perfect!
Such a cool spot! We got some ice cream while enjoying the view of the Pacific Ocean.
Stopped to eat at another restaurant close by, but it was closed, so we ate here. Food was ok, a little pricey for burgers and fries, but the view is spectacular!!

Great food watch out for those sea gulls stealing your French fries

Not gonna lie to you -- we stayed in Monterey for a week or so on vacation and this place was the BEST food we had the whole time we were down there. Hot dogs were off the chain, would give a hundred stars if I could

Had a cheeseburger, fries and a fountain drink. It was a really good burger, frys were fresh and the day was perfect for lunch overlooking the beach. Saw a sea lion just a few feet off the beach, and some seagulls came up, and gave us a chewing out for not feeding them which made for an entertaining video. This was a last minute decision to eat here and I'm glad we did. Just remember it's cash only, so go prepared.
I eaten at the grill for years and have always enjoyed it. However on my last trip ordered the fish and chips. The chips were great, but the batter on the fish was the worst I have ever tasted. It was like eating a brick with a horrible taste. In good conscience I couldn’t even offer it to the seagulls. My friends enjoyed their meals. The Grill is a fun place by the beach to eat, but don’t order the fish and chips.
Cute seaside eatery. Love the feel of a beach shack to eat at when you're not wanting fancy, sit down food. Many of us enjoyed the fish & chips and fresh made tartar sauce especially. A little heavy on the batter but not greasy like most, so I was happy about that. Burgers (veggie & regular) were good. Onion rings were just ok. Would prefer them to be hand battered & fried. While walking along the beach, stop and enjoy a mid day lunch and watch the surfers & body boarders. Cash only
