Awful attitude and sarcastic answers. Definitely walked away without wanting to purchase.

Here to say Ivan from the grill came to the rescue! We are long time locals and enjoy the grill on those Long Beach days, however, today was different. We had been enjoying the beach for just a bit when my daughter face planted into the stairs. We packed it up and before we could get up the stairs, Ivan came down with a bag of ice and a lollipop for her! Grateful for his quick, unprompted response and thankful to have people like that running our local beachside grill! Nothing tops those fries with a soft serve either ‍ -Lindsey C.

Charged me a dollar for tap water... expensive and cash only. Don't waste your money.

I'm giving it a 3 because I'm sure the food is good here but please know they DO NOT serve clam chowder in a bread bowl. I assumed they did based on the yelp photos but I wanted to warn anyone in the near future about the no clam chowder. Friendly and nice guy though helping the customers.

I ordered a cheeseburger. The staff was nice. My burger was fresh and tasty. Great place to eat and watch the ocean.

I am so bummed! We came out here specifically by 3:30 today and got cash ahead of time so we could try the soft serve before they closed at 4. As we were about to get in the line, a young man closed the shop in a customers face without a word! When another woman asked if they were closing, he angrily snipped "Yes." She (politely) said, "When there's a line, you might mention that you're closing instead of shutting the door in your customer's faces." He smirked and replied, "Yeah, I don't care." I thought it was worth mentioning the exchange in this review for those who want to make the effort to go here... We won't make the effort again.

In the scenic town of Monterey, nestled among the more prominent establishments, you'll find a hidden gem, the unassuming shack known as The Grill on Lover's Point. This quaint and cozy eatery, perched right on the ocean's edge, offers an unexpectedly delightful culinary experience. The menu, though simple, showcases the art of grilling in its purest form. During my visit, I sampled one of their mouth-watering burgers, a choice that I now recall with great fondness. The patty was expertly grilled to just the right temperature, achieving a balance of a juicy interior and a beautifully charred exterior. It was a symphony of flavors that reminded me of the intrinsic beauty of simple, unpretentious food. The Grill on Lover's Point doesn't rely on fancy décor or elaborate presentations; instead, it thrives on the natural beauty of its surroundings. The rhythmic cadence of the crashing waves and the enticing aroma of the grill form the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable seaside dining experience. In essence, The Grill on Lover's Point serves as a testament to the beauty of simplicity. It's a place where the love for grilling and the passion for quality shine through in every dish. I wholeheartedly recommend their grilled burger, a dish that manages to rise above the ordinary and delight the senses in every way.In conclusion, The Grill on Lover's Point isn't merely a spot to grab a quick bite; it's a destination, an experience, and a tribute to the joy of seaside grilling. If you are ever fortunate enough to find yourself in the beautiful city of Monterey, I strongly recommend making a pit stop at The Grill on Lover's Point. This charming little shack, located right on the ocean's edge, serves up a minimalist menu that boasts quality over quantity - a delightful rarity in the fast food industry.During my visit, I opted for one of their burgers, a decision that I can now reflect upon with a satisfied grin. What a treat it was! The patty was grilled to perfection, a testament to the grill master's skill and attention to detail. Every bite was an explosion of well-seasoned beefy goodness that left me craving for more. The setting is as simple as the menu, which adds to the charm of the place. The ambiance of the ocean waves crashing against the shoreline, coupled with the sizzle and aroma of the grill, sets the scene for a memorable meal.Despite its humble appearance, The Grill on Lover's Point serves food that stands out. If you're after good, honest food, prepared and served with care and skill, this is your place. Their delicious grilled burger definitely gets my seal of approval. All in all, The Grill on Lover's Point is more than just a place to eat; it's an experience. A must-visit, if you ask me.

Very disappointed. Ordered the $16 fish sandwich and was totally ripped off. Is a fried filet of frozen fish that's not even half the length of the bread. Barely any condiments other than iceberg lettuce. And the fish was so hot from fryer that is severely burnt my mouth. A day later I'm still really hurt. Terrible spot. The onion rings were also absolutely garbage. They charged $1 for water. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Come on grill do better.

plenty of seating at their 4 long picnic benches. might be packed on a weekend, however, we went on an early Friday afternoon with no line. PG burger, calamari and fries were amazing as expected. would come back for both the food and the views.

Great location of walking back from the lighthouse towards MontereyIt is “cash only” and no cards and that is pretty odd as easy to get a tap machineThe seafood was fine but was not what I ordered… Maybe distracted xx
