We came to Monterey on a trip, and ended up going to Winston's twice for breakfast because we enjoyed it so much. My mom and I split the lemon ricotta pancakes(AMAZING) and my daughter got a pancake and a side of bacon. These were by far the BEST PANCAKES I've ever had in my 33 years of life. So fluffy, moist and, delicious. The atmosphere is so cool, it is kid friendly and our waitress Emily was so kind and accommodating. It's hard to find servers who care nowadays...
We came here this past Sunday for brunch with a large group and even without a reservation, they were able to seat us within an hour, which was impressive.
The food was outstanding! Everything from the fried chicken sandwich to the pancakes was delicious. The coffees and teas were great, and they had an amazing hot sauce (salsa) that went perfectly with the potatoes. Since we had a big party, we got to sample a wide variety of dishes, and everyone left impressed.

I am a breakfast snob and am so glad I found this place. I had the Lemon & Ricotta pancakes. WOW. My hubby had the hearty plate with 2 eggs, sausage, PERFECTLY crisp and salted potatoes and a beautiful biscuit plus a side of crispy perfect bacon.
So siimple but soooo yummy thanks to their care to details.
It is close quarters, so you'll need to be comfy with tight tables...
