I've visited Hank's a few times and would lean towards giving it a 4-star rating rather than 3, mainly due to the service aspect, which unfortunately hasn't been great. Our latest visit reaffirmed this with slow service, errors in our order, and having to request our check multiple times.
On the positive side, the food is decent and fresh. I enjoyed their Greek salad, which, despite being a bit pricey, was well-prepared. My child is a fan of their burger, the Hank’s Smashed.
The terrace is another highlight, boasting a nice, south-facing orientation that offers ample light and sunshine, perfect for lunch.
Vegetarian options: A few options such as salads and soups as well as a vegetarian sandwich, will be good options.
Parking: On peak days and time (mostly weekend) it can be difficult to park around Palisades Village, try the underground parking, it’s usually the safest bet to find a spot
Kid-friendliness: Have a couple of items for kids such as the burger

Terrible service (not waiter).. ordered 2 drinks the bartender and hostess sat and talked. I walked over and grabbed them myself. Later I ordered a beer, no bartender in sight (cancelled the beer) after 7 minutes. $36 for 1/2 rack of ribs never go back to this place.

My fiancé planned a proposal to me here and the staff went above and beyond to make it special for us. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the pot roast and the meat was very tender. The service was amazing and the vibes were immaculate. That you for making a special moment even more special.

We recently dined at Hank's in Pacific Palisades and were thoroughly impressed with our experience. On a sunny warm day, we opted to sit outside under an umbrella with shade, enjoying the pleasant weather and atmosphere.
Our meal began with their very special onion rings, which we split and was paired with a flavorful aioli—definitely a must-try! Next, two of us indulged in the shrimp cocktail, featuring huge, flavorful Gulf shrimp and a classic cocktail sauce that perfectly complemented the dish.
One of our party also thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp Louis salad, which was absolutely fabulous. The large, juicy Gulf shrimp were paired with ripe, creamy avocado, small, flavorful tomatoes, and crisp romaine lettuce. The freshness of each ingredient truly stood out.
To drink, we had the refreshing Arnold Piper iced tea, a glass of wine, a beer and then finished with a classic chocolate milkshake—a delightful way to round out the meal.
What made the experience even more memorable was the excellent customer service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went far above and beyond to ensure we had a great time.
We’ll definitely be returning to Hank’s to explore more of their outstanding menu. Highly recommended!

Worst chicken burger. Fast food chains have better. Chicken is flat, dry and tasteless. Lettuce is wilted and sparse. Bun is thin and soggy. Food, So over priced. Atmosphere is terrible. Staff is nice and attentive.

Great burger and service. New NY Strip poor excuse for a steak - has the grain and flavor of a grass fed sirloin cut. Def not what you’re paying for. Expect more out of Hank’s

Unfortunately, the service was horrible. This restaurant isn't cheap, and you should be getting what you pay for. Food was good, the hashbrowns were totally undercooked. Our server was overwhelmed and wasn't able to bring us the things we needed. No salt, no butter, normal things that would go on toast and eggs.

Things seemed off last night. We sat inside and basically had to serve ourselves. Food came out before drinks and we had to get refills ourselves. Was very odd as we eat here all the time and always a great experience. Told by wait staff one refill minimum. Could not help but laugh. I had 3 glasses of tea. They definitely were struggling.

Hank’s used to have a collection of mind bendingly delicious burgers. After the remodel they weirdly replaced the burgers with a smash burger that is simply meh. I really don’t understand. It was perfect before.
When I heard Hanks was under new management, I was excited to try it. What a disappointment! The menu is dreadful, and the food and service were even worse. I would not go back again. So sad! Palisades Village needs some new restaurants.

Very crowded. Table we were promised not available. Heater did not work. Ate indoors which was fine but crowded. Menu was new and very limited. No decent vegetarian entrees for my friend (veggie burger was frozen not homemade)! Waiter was not knowledgeable. Friend ordered carrot soup but was served artichoke soup with no explanation. Waiter kept insisting it was carrot but it was green! Friend allergic to artichokes! Charged for fries which we did not order. The ribs were delicious as was the ahi tuna and smash burger. The hostess was efficient.
Wanted to love the “new” Hanks but it's solidly mid. Good enough to go back if nothing else is available. Pros: burger and fries very good. Strawberry Fields cocktail good. Better atmosphere - white table clothes, glass wind barrier outside, lively bistro feel. Cons: service is on/off. Your person is there and then disappears when you need them most. Food service was very slow. Some sides forgotten. Our entrees didn't come out until long after we were finished apps. Also on the pricey side for what you get. Ribs were tough and cold. Steak frites edible but not great. All around good enough not great.
