I used to go there a lot with my family and things were cool not a problem in sight. but they must have got some hairy furry dogs or cats because it's all over their clothes. And now getting on the food. quite honestly I don't think they know at first I didn't notice until i did find some dog fur unfortunately in my cheese steak

They gave me the wrong order 1st of all and when they gave me the right order it didn't have very much meat on it. I ordered a king Philly which has extra meat and extra cheese. The sandwich I got had NO extra anything. The meat didn't even fill the entire bread. Very disappointed. Usually it's great. Had my heart set on a king Philly. Probably won't go there again. At least not for a long while.

Was craving a Philly steak and this was the closest UberEats option I could find. The sandwich was ok, but it didn't have that genuine Philly cheesesteak taste I was looking for. The filling was a little too gooey, and the meat didn't taste fresh. It may be better if ordered fresh in person, but I probably wouldn't choose this place again.

Great place to watch a game and grab a cheesesteak. Food is made to order and is delicious. I had a South Philly with sweet and spicy peppers. It was fire! I wasn't even that hungry and I was going to split half with my gf, but somehow ended up eating the whole thing. Definitely recommend going to this place if you want to get full at a great price. Plus the owners are dope! Tell them Jason sent you!

I grew up going to the Cheese Steak Shop in Walnut Creek so I had to come check this spot out. Every bit as good, nice clean location, close to the ocean, it has everything.

Habit forming indeed! I am so glad they finally opened a cheesesteak shop in my neighborhood! I no longer have to drive 30 minutes away to get good cheesesteak - this spot is just as good, if not, better!! I only have ONE important, fair and constructive complaint about this great place. But first, my reasons for the 5 stars: 1)Location (less than 5 minute drive) 2)Friendly staff/Professional manager 3)Food is excellent and delicious 4)Reasonable price for good quality/quantity 5)Many toppings and choices in menu My only single objection here and this is very important to me as a loyal customer: I have been going to this place for almost a year and I only order one thing here and that is the KING SIZE philly joe cheesesteak. My complaint here is that there have been a few times (less than 5 times to be exact) that whenever I order KING SIZE I get what looks like a regular size instead. This happened last night in particular, and its what drove me to write this review. I hope the management sees this and reminds their staff to kindly look at their computer screen/tags and read them carefully. There is an upcharge of extra $4 for this upgrade (not bad). But whenever they get it right, believe me, it is so worth it for a very hungry person! I just hope that they address this issue, because for me personally, last night, I didn't eat the whole day, so I was excited to order the king size, but in a rare occurrence, I was unfortunately disappointed by the outcome. I did ask the young man who made my sandwich if it's a king size, he seemed nice and quickly responded "yeah" but I knew it wasn't a king size, though the sandwich was nonetheless flavorful. I finished the sandwich quicker than usual whereas if it was bigger, it would take longer, that's how I knew as well. Also, through visual experience in my past identical orders, I know for sure what the king size looks like. I do apologize to the management/staff for this rant, but I had to get it off my chest. Besides all this, everything about this place is excellent. I still give it a 5 star because it is what they truly deserve!! I just hope that this issue will be addressed (sorry!! it really bothered me!) but I know this place will be successful for many years to come! Take care!

Philly native- these cheesesteaks are so good they bring tears to my eyes. The rolls are fresh and soft (cheesesteaks are so much about a good roll) the meat is tasty and juicy. They've got white American cheese, good mushrooms and well done onions if you order wit. The service is friendly and quick. This is a great place.

The indoor dining area is clean, comfortable, and really well maintained. I also appreciate how they have convenient dog friendly outdoor seating right outside the restaurant. The two of us typically share a king size philly cheesesteak w/ sweet & spicy peppers and curly fries and it really fills us up. The king size is the same size as the large but it comes with double the protein & cheese. Even with all of that protein and cheese, the bread still holds up really well and doesn't get soggy at all. The meat is perfectly cooked and seasoned and I love how gooey and melty the cheese is. The ratios of everything is perfect and I'm never left with a bite of just bread at the very end. The fries are crispy and light, well seasoned, and not greasy at all. Sometimes I order their cheese sauce to dip it in and its so yummy! I've also ordered via Uber Eats from this location many times and I love and appreciate how they provide the food in sealed packaging. This spot is definitely my go to for quality and affordable cheese steaks in the Bay Area! I would happily go out of my way any day to satisfy my cravings here.
