Blue Orchid Thai Bistro

My friends and I ordered food thru DoorDash, paid for our order, then the order was canceled. Tried to call, first time the call dropped, second attempt the call went to voicemail stating “they’re closed until Sept 20th”. DoorDash website says they’re open. Restaurant needs to do better with communication.

It would be helpful if the business could update their hours for the summer. I noticed that the shop is listed as open on Google, but when I called, it was actually closed. The purpose of having an updated Google listing is to provide accurate information, so customers don't need to call for confirmation—especially in 2024.

The food is okay but not worth the price. The portion is tiny. I ordered the pad Thai to go and was disappointed with the small portion size and cost. I was better off going to Hot Thai or My Thai. I hope they step up their game because they have potential.

We ordered the tofu in an Asian sauce. It could have been toilet paper marinated in sauce. Food was less than tasty or healthy. But, it was the only game in town due to summer hours in the desert. Never again.

The food is amazing! Our waiter was very nice and ensured we had everything we needed. The Spicy Chicken in Peanut sauce is the bomb! I seriously do shots of this sauce and was very tempted to lick the plate. Hope you enjoy, we tried a few different dishes but that one is my go to next visit for sure.

Came in after reading much earlier reviews with hopeful outlook of how the dinner would be. Got a much different experience, a lot of what we got was much different than what they had portrayed on their online menu. The blue iced teas tasted like they’d been sitting for days, not to mention the glasses they were served in were very dirty. And the food was just mediocre at best. Wonton soup just tasted of chicken bouillon cubes and my own Phad Thai just tasted like ketchup with a splash of soy sauce. I don’t know if they were better before but the quality has definitely dropped

I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. My boyfriend and I had pad woon sen and fried rice delivered to our home, and was unable to even eat either of them.Both dishes had an AWFUL smell- like sewage or dirty dish water. We tried to take a couple of bites and they both tasted exactly how they smelled.The worst part about it is that we tried calling the restaurant, asked for the manager, and was given horrible attitude and was told that we were lying and that if the food tasted like we explained then we both should go see a doctor.I am amazed at the carelessness and behavior of this dirty, disrespectful, establishment.There are so many other Thai places that taste better and actually care for their customers. I will never support this place again.

I am a fan of Thai food, and I love this place. The tom yum soup and salad are more sour than normal. Pineapple fry rice is my recommendation.

Apparently there are no authentic thai restaurants in the area. They overcharge for spring rolls and still don't roll them fresh. They're frozen and soggy in the middle ?.

Wait was way too long. Waited even longer for one dish to complete my order, so now everything else was cold. Four other people waiting dealt with the same thing

Food was good but not pure Thai dishes. Our server was good but super busy as they seemed short staffed. The chef brought us one dish and was extremely rude. Our server knew we didn’t want spicy food and cilantro yet that’s what the dish was from the chef. Since they were closing soon she refused to remake it. Some portions i.e. steamed fish were really small.
