Front of the house very friendly. Food is good overall. Excellent seafood stew and sand dabs fish. Way too sweet orange sauce on the duck. Next time I'll just get it on the side. Our waitress was disappointing. professional but slow and not very attentive.
Cute place, offering decent cuisine, although lacking in authentic French dishes. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning, but ceiling fans are available.
The food was barely adequate. There was stale bread. No French restaurant should have stale bread. Our salads were mediocre with wilted greens. The entree plates were very hot which probably signaled that the meals had been under a heat lamp for too long. Because the plates were so hot that the sauces separated. This truly was a disappointment.
First time here. Ordered escargot app and the seafood in puff pastry entree. Price was much higher (over $10 higher) than menu listed online! They did offer a reasonable price summer prix fixe menu. Escargot was good. Butterfly & garlicky. The bay scallops in the seafood could have been much better & the shrimp was overcooked. There was minimal sauce. The top of the puff pastry was hard and inedible. Definitely wouldn't order this dish again. Might give another try for lunch and order a different dish. Good corkage fee as well.
Wonderful meal. Felt like I was in France. The steak au povire was the best I've eaten. The pate and crab cake starters were wonderful.
Our Server Jose was excellent . We ordered crab cake, French Onion Soup , short ribs and pasta . Everything was tasty .
Service was impeccable, from the manager who greeted us and remembered our special request, to our server and busboys. Food was excellent and lived up to French reputation. Very nice open air dining room. All in all a lovely experience.
We love this restaurant . The food is delicious and prepared perfectly with a lovely presentation. The staff is professional and courteous with attention to every detail but not intrusive. I had the halibut and it was moist with seasoning but not dry . My husband had veal and he said it was delicious. Crepes for dessert are a must. We will return. The ambience is attractive and fun.
This dinner was to celebrate my wife's and my wedding anniversary. Everything about our meals were wonderful - service, perfectly mixed drinks, delicious appetizers and entrees, even a surprise celebratory cake. With so many great area restaurants to choose from, we definitely picked a winner with Cafe Des Beaux-Arts
The BEST place! I come to Palm Desert every year and Cafe des Beaux Arts is always a must. Amazing food, great area, french-style atmosphere, fantastic service.

Nice goodbye dinner. Favorite place. Great people. A couple of flaws: stale bread and overdone lamb, ordered medium rare. And they were out of Viognier. But otherwise great.
We went to Easter Brunch and also celebrated a friend's birthday. The staff was very accommodating and the food was outstanding as always!
We always have a great time at Cafe de Beaux! Delicious menu options. Attentive service. The hubby enjoyed the Veal special. I had house salad with Seafood crepes...very tasty. Will return soon!
Accepting a subtle greeting from the usher, i took a table by the roadside (open) window. Had to ask for the table. The greeter can do a better job asking for preferences. From here on, the experience exceeded my expectations.
The coffee! Awesome. I complemented the coffee and the attendant insisted i get as much coffee as i can drink :-). I ordered Mediterranean Frittata and a plate of plain crepe without powdered sugar. The food was tasty and hot. Using my hands to dip a rolled crepe in the syrup, i downed it with a sip of hot coffee. Yum. Had a leisurely breakfast, ate everything except the plates. Recommend this restaurant for a leisurely sumptuous experience. Avoid sitting at the bar (nothing against it) or the inside booths as the street side tables are more relaxing.
