The food quality and quantity have improved significantly this past year or so. I tried this particular Castañeda's about half a dozen times 5, 6 and 7 years ago and it was just not worth coming back, very much less than even average. I decided to give it another try about a year ago (I live next door in Sun City) and was more than pleasantly surprised. Just left here and we got take-out. We ordered a ton of chips and salsas from the bar and we got the San Felipe fries. Everything was SO GOOD! Greasy for sure but that's exactly what we wanted. The people working here were super friendly. We have never been here before and had a few questions and the gal helping us was super sweet. 10 out of 10 food and service! Thanks guys we had an awful day today and needed the smiling faces!!

Was driving back to California from Phoenix and looking for a quick bite that was close to the interstate. Googled Mexican restaurants then googled ‘handmade tortillas’ and this place came up. Handmade tortillas are a must. Called about 15 mins ahead and they said my order would be ready in about 10 mins. Showed up and to my delight was a fresh salsa bar. I had a bean rice and cheese burrito that weighed about 5 pounds haha and 2 carne asada tacos. Definitely didn’t need...
