I am sad to write this review after 30 years of loving the Cafe and having many wonderful celebrations there. People, food and service were always great. Was there the other night, and again, found the music so very, very loud that it was impossible to carry on a conversation. Not enjoyable at all over dinner. (Even the 20 year olds in our group found it too loud.) Prices have gone up so so much beyond what I feel the food is worth, as good as it usually may be. Disappointed to say, I don't think we will be back any time soon. Feel like we have lost what was our go to place with family and friends.

Maybe I'm just used to Tex Mex but I found it to be lacking flavor. Shredded beef was underwhelming and the tamale was cold. Fun band though

I don't usually start reviews with comments on the ambience, but you must know that Casuelas Cafe on a Sunday afternoon is unbeatable. They have live mariachi, which pairs perfectly with an ice cold (or frozen) margarita. The margaritas were stout and delicious, none of that weird pre mixed flavor. Theirs are obviously home made. Highly recommend the mezcal margarita. We ordered the trio fajitas, which was easily enough for two. Stacked with shrimp, beef and chicken, and cooked to perfection. Wrap these up in a fresh tortilla and slap some guac and salsa in it and you'll be in heaven. Service was 10/10. Waiter checked on us very often and made sure we left happy and full. Highly recommend Casuelas. We have high standards for Mexican cuisine and this spot did not disappoint.

Our dining experience was off from the moment we walked into the restaurant and were greeted by four very unfriendly hostesses who seemed very bothered by any interruption from their conversation to greet guests. The chips and salsa served (chips tasted stale) and our plated entrees while served on a very hot plate but was overpriced and terrible - there was very little flavor. Guacamole was thinned with so much sour cream there was no avocado taste. Margaritas were so loaded with sugar (agave) you couldn't taste any tequila. Despite the nice decor we won't be back.

This place used to be great 100% of the Time. After last night's dinner we wished we had dined at Jack in the Box!
Casuelas Cafe are crooks. I went with my cousins and we sat at two tables. They charged 6 of us multiple times. When I called to discuss the matter the owner started gaslighting me and hung up. It has been several days and the erroneous charge has still not been reversed.

Delicious Mexican food! Friendly service. Chips & Salsa staters. Walked past the inside straight to the patio-Ambiance was nice on the patio as the sun sets. Umbrellas available if sun is too much. Music set the mood. Really nice place! Enjoyed my big fajita dish(take home). Yummy!
