Such a delicious dinner - everything was excellent!! And the service was outstanding!! We will come back when we visit next!!

Dining at the Cork Tree is always excellent! The service, ambiance and food are always wonderful.

Always a wonderful experience! We love having a booth for visiting when we have 4 people dining together.

Pros: Beautiful ambiance, outstanding service (Monica was terrific), delicious food (best sea bass I have ever had & beet salad always superb). Con: After requesting a quiet table in my reservation, the volume of the music was much too loud for normal conversation (even after asking if it could be turned down a bit). By evening's end our guests and we were exhausted, hence, the overall 3-star rating

Our waiter was extremely attentive and we thought his assistant who offered us water, ect was especially sweet. My Caesar salad was one of the best I have ever tasted! Filet mignon cooked to perfection!

Lovely quiet restaurant without any screaming children. Great Sea Bass and Beet salad. Great drinks too. The Hostess was so accommodating. Helped us get a table in the bar. My new go to place!

My husband and I had a group dinner here 9 years ago with guests from out of town for our wedding. Love this place...sat outside and had a wonderful meal and service. Will definitely return every time we are in town

Lovely ambience. Very close to Jw Marriott. 2 minute drive. Food Was fabulous! Beautifully prepared and presented. Highly recommend !!!

While the ambiance of Cork Tree Restaurant in Palm Desert may exude sophistication and charm, our recent dining experience left much to be desired. On our honeymoon, we were excited to treat ourselves to a special meal, particularly for one of my partner's favorite dishes - duck. However, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment when we were informed that the duck was unavailable after we had already placed our order.

Despite choosing alternative dishes, the mishaps continued as the restaurant failed to remove the duck from our bill, resulting in an incorrect charge of $40. When we brought this to their attention, the resolution process was far from seamless. Not only did they explain that the refund would take 2-3 days to process, but they also recharged the correct amount, totaling almost $400, without prior notice.

It became apparent that Cork Tree Restaurant does not cater to those seeking an extraordinary dining experience or a special celebration. Instead, it appears to prioritize patrons willing to regularly spend exorbitant amounts on a single meal.

In contrast, we also dined at Cliffside where the meal, service, and ambiance were immaculate. Surprisingly, the experience at Cliffside was even less expensive, offering better food quality and exceptional service. The stark contrast between our experiences at Cork Tree Restaurant and Cliffside highlighted the importance of attentive customer service and quality dining experiences.

The restaurant's attempts to rectify the situation with a mere offer of a gift card or voiding our bill fell short, as the damage had already been done to our honeymoon experience. It is unfortunate that what was supposed to be a memorable evening turned into a lesson in customer service shortcomings.

As both my partner and I are retail store managers, we are well-versed in customer service standards and understand that errors can happen. We are not the type to make unreasonable demands or complaints, we have dealt with too many Karen’s to ever complain for nothing. In this instance, however, the series of mistakes made by Cork Tree Restaurant resulted in a significant sum being held on our account during our honeymoon, without any prior communication or resolution in sight.

In conclusion, for those looking to indulge in a remarkable dining experience, it may be best to consider establishments like Cliffside that prioritize exceptional service and top-notch cuisine without the exorbitant price tags associated with Cork Tree Restaurant.

The short ribs were amazing and cooked to perfection! The beet salad was the perfect size portion and delicious! We missed the cranberry walnut bread as it was never offered at our table tonight .

The service was above & beyond excellent. I had the yellow fin tuna (ahi) dinner and it was some of the best ahi I have had anywhere in a long time. They use sushi grade. My friends had salmon & sea bass and those plates were also excellent. We sat outside & it was lovely.

Atmosphere was comfortable & classy. Service staff was attentive and the entrees were excellent. We had a great dining experience and highly recommend the Cork Tree Restaurant .
