I've have eaten at the Daily Grill numerous times and always enjoyed it otherwise we wouldn't have come back. Unfortunately this time was disappointing and had it been our first time probably would've not return. Service was not good. Had to ask for bread, rarely saw the waiter and after the meal never asked if we would like coffee or desert. So we left. Very disappointing. Especially for such a nicer restaurant.
Waitress was very pleasant and very helpful .Excellent service. Food served to all four of us was very very good.
The Daily Grill has long been a favorite, offering consistent service and a familiar menu. Unfortunately, our recent visit didn't quite live up to expectations. While the staff remained attentive and friendly as always, the restaurant itself is beginning to show its age. The décor and ambiance feel noticeably worn and outdated, giving the impression that the space hasn't kept pace with the evolving local dining scene. As for the food, it was just okay—nothing stood out. Salads arrived undressed despite being ordered with dressing, and the flavors were generally lacking across the board. It felt like the kitchen was going through the motions rather than delivering the thoughtful, flavorful dishes we've enjoyed in the past. The Daily Grill still has potential, but it's time for a refresh—both in terms of the space and the menu—to bring back the vibrancy that once made it a go-to spot.
Our waiter, Eric, was very good... Food good, a bit pricey, booths in back for two a little tight but overall a good experience
Another pleasant experience with great food. The setting sun was a little bright in our eyes and I had to move an umbrella but that was the only glitch.
Ordered calamari and was unbelievably disappointed. Overcooked, wet breading, zero flavor. Didn't even look like calamari. We had the cobb salad and the sanddabs. Both were very good. Our server was very good.
Once again I was very pleased with the whole experience...and the skirt steak was FABULOUS!
Food was great! Everyone happy with their choices! Service was a bit slow at first because there was a mixup and no one was assigned to our table. But then our waiter was good!
We sat outside which was the only good experience. When our waitress took our order, she said she would bring bread to the table. We sat there for 30 minutes without service. We finally flagged down another server and asked about our order. A few minutes later the host brought our food, cold. Then we asked about our bread which was brought to us. We have gone to this place before and have had good experience but this is the worst we have experienced. We will not be returning nor recommending this place. Palm Springs has better places to eat. The food was never that good to begin with but my ledersly inlaws likes to go there. Avoid this place at all cost.
I have been a long time fan of The Daily Grill and a regular diner since they first opened on El Paseo in Palm Desert more than 15 years ago. It was always in my list of favorite places. Recently, however, I've had 3 bad experiences in a row when ordering for delivery. Chicken Piccata was always a favorite choice whether dining in or having it delivered via Uber Eats. There was always a generous portion of both chicken (cooked perfectly, browned and juicy), asparagus (chosen side) and pasta and the picatta sauce. But then there came a big change. I ordered chicken piccata (delivery) and it came with no sauce. There was the usual good portion of everything but no piccata sauce; the pasta was dry. We concluded they may have had an off night and decided a few weeks later to give it another try. Again it came in a good portion but with no sauce. We gave them a 3rd chance several weeks later. After putting in the order online via Uber Eats, I called the restaurant and explained to the manager what had happened the past two times, that we were big fans of the restaurant and could they give us extra sauce this time to insure that at least there would be some sauce. What's the point of ordering Chicken Piccata if you don't get the wonderful flavors of the sauce? She assured me there would be extra sauce. The order arrived: good portion, no sauce. None. The pasta had a little olive oil on it and nothing else. It was dry and tasteless. When I called to complain, I was connected to the manager (the same woman who'd assured me they'd make it correctly this time). She first gave an excuse that was not only untrue, but not historically true for the restaurant. They used to make it right, and it was delicious, which was why we kept giving them more chances. Again, we'd enjoyed it both in house and at home. Her excuse: "The pasta absorbs all the sauce in the time it goes from the restaurant to the person's house." Complete falsehood. When I said that wasn't true, this was the remedy offered: I could drive down there (at 8:30 at night) and they would give me sauce and a free dessert. Or I could try to get a refund from Uber Eats. Neither of these options were appropriate or fair. The Daily Grill's failure was not Uber Eats failure. Neither was it mine, and yet The Daily Grill's manager's solution was that either Uber Eats pays for it or I do. We were so disappointed because that is not the service we had known in the past. We will not be returning. If they are under new management, they ought to keep looking.

It is and will be the best American, Italian and Argentine restaurant.
It was my great school at the beginning from where gastronomy started and today I can say that I am very happy and grateful for everything I learned in a great incredible team that I had at the time.
I am a Chef at the Palermo Argentino racecourse.
This was my first time at the Daily Grill.
It was a great experience all the way around.
I was greeted with a smile and sat down in a timely manner.
Damian was my server and he did an excellent job from the beginning of taking my order to the end of my meal.
The Beef Dip came to the table fresh, hot and ready to consume.
It was absolutely delicious and the best one I've ever had.
If you're looking for a great meal with a wonderful experience, I highly recommend The Daily Grill as a winner for you

Met up with old friends for lunch. The restaurant was not busy. We all had salads and they were as expected. Service was average. Nothing special about this place with so many restaurant choices.

Never disappointed with the fish and chips and love the coleslaw. Always good service and Ashley gave us great service and very attentive, never rushing and allowed us time to enjoy our glass of wine. Can't miss with this place not fancy but comfortable.
Our meals were delicious! I ordered the trout almadine and it was prepared to perfection. My husband ordered the special crab salad and it was outstanding. Our service was good but not over the top. Daily Grill is always our first spot when visiting Palm Desert!
