Being this location is fairly new the atmosphere is great, the staff is courteous & I gave it 4 stars for food only because the biscuit was not baked ( cooked ). The waitress I had was very efficient, too bad I don't remember her name.

Best Denny's we've ever experienced and we travel a lot. Excellent service, excellent food served quickly, sparkling clean great old school atmosphere with good music, easy & plentiful parking. The senior meal is perfect for me because of the amount of food, cost, and familiar comfort food aspect. If you can, it's always important to tip well with a great experience like this!

My favorite Denny's to stop at after a concert. The staff is friendly, the cook is quite fast, and it's just a pleasant atmosphere.

Hello, I’m a regular at this Denny’s and I was actually dining here on the day referenced in this review. I feel the situation has been misrepresented and portrayed in a much more negative light than what I personally witnessed.

The reviewer, Pineapple Party, appeared to be engaging normally with staff during the visit, and nothing about the interaction seemed tense or uncomfortable at the time. The employee mentioned, Louie, was present and communicating with the team in a way that looked like normal coordination, not someone “standing around” or being disruptive. I had spoken with him earlier, and he shared that he sometimes stays to help out even after clocking out when he sees coworkers falling behind on side work, which explains his presence at the counter.

Regarding cleanliness, restaurants can become messy quickly during busy periods, and while cleanliness is important, it did not appear that staff were intentionally neglecting the area. The overall atmosphere was casual and lighthearted due to the pajama-themed, Christmas-style day. Personally, I loved that the manager chose to do something festive like this for the employees—it clearly boosted morale and created a positive environment for both staff and customers.

Everyone is entitled to their own experience, but as another customer who was present at the same time, I believe this review unfairly singles out one employee and does not accurately reflect what was happening in the restaurant that day. I’ve been coming to the Washington Street Denny’s for a long time, and in my experience, this location has one of the hardest-working and most dedicated crews around. The staff here consistently goes above and beyond, and they deserve recognition for the effort they put in every day

Was charged $17.99 for a basic ham and cheese omelette. Waitress claimed it was something called a “build your own “. Never went back of course.

This Dennys is lacking so very much. I usually order the salmon dinner (not at this location), but decided to order house salad and spaghetti and meatballs. Order was taken promptly, water brought to the table, and 2 salads followed but waiter forgot the honey mustard dressing. He brought one to the table, no plate, in small plastic cup with his fingerprint as he mishandled it. Then waited 21 minutes for spaghetti. Watched the kitchen microwave the meatballs, then the sauce, then the noodles. Meatballs were so overcooked I could have smashed a windows with them. A tablespoon spoon of sauce on the noodles and they were also not fully cooked. Asked for more sauce and guess what, again not on a plate. Cold garlic toast accompanied the sauce. I paid $42 DOLLARS and I will never go back again. No wonder Dennys is closing stores.

I've been to this particular Denny's at least 8 times, usually to have dinner before going to another event. Some other visits were late night ones to just have dessert.

For dinner I frequently have a delicious burger, or an equally savory skillet meal. I never worry...whatever I order is always fresh, hot, and nicely served with generous portions by a cheerful and professional server.
When I'm here for dessert, the apple crisp with ice cream is always my choice...it is dessert decadence every time.

The atmosphere here is pleasant and conversation is easy due to the mostly low volume music. As at all Denny's, the price is reasonable, especially considering the astronomical price of almost everything right now. It's refreshing that there is still a restaurant where you get your money's worth.

I too appreciate the honoring of our veterans. Though I am not one, my husband was, and I know what it means to them to be recognized for risking their lives and lifelong mental health in service to their country, family, friends, and even total strangers.

One final thought...I have been to Denny's for Thanksgiving dinner in the past. It's a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, just like Mom or Grandma used to make. If you're not going to a family event this year, don't give up your holiday meal!
