We came because my son wanted all you can eat sushi and this was the only place in the area we could find that offered it. We didn’t like that if our 12 year old got all you can eat, we had to as well which was expensive at $50 per adult. The sushi was good but it wasn’t worth the $50 price. There were a lot of rolls on the normal menu that we wanted to order that weren’t included with all you can eat. There was no sashimi. For $30-35, I’d give it 4 stars but for $50 it just wasn’t good enough. There were more rules than other AYCE sushi places and stains on the booth seats. If they relaxed a bit on the rules, lowered the price and included more in the all you can eat option, I would return.

The walk up to the entrance is an experience. The inside smells of Pinesol. The mat by the door was dirty.
The food was an expensive disappointment. Cold Tempura. Warm Sushi. Gorilla brains nothing as good as when the 1st opened.
We were giving it a second try after a previous bad time.
Now, on the permanent banned list.

Five-Star Review: Dragon Sushi - A Truly Exceptional Experience!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dragon Sushi, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Without a doubt, it deserves a glowing five-star review!
From the moment I walked in, the service was impeccable. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They anticipated our needs without being intrusive, and every request was handled promptly and with a smile. It's clear they prioritize creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining atmosphere for every guest.
But what truly sets Dragon Sushi apart is the unparalleled freshness of their ingredients. Every piece of sushi and sashimi I ordered was a testament to quality. The fish was vibrant, perfectly cut, and practically melted in my mouth, showcasing its incredible freshness. You can genuinely taste the difference when a restaurant sources such high-quality ingredients and handles them with care. Each bite was a delight, from the perfectly seasoned rice to the pristine seafood.
Overall, Dragon Sushi delivers an outstanding culinary journey. If you're looking for a place with top-notch service and incredibly fresh, delicious sushi, look no further. I highly recommend Dragon Sushi and can't wait to go back!

Arrived at 6pm for the All You Can Eat Wednesday. Placed our first round of sushi, no check ups for nearly 30 minutes our waters running low like 1/4 left, I placed our second round and the paper sat on my table for another 10 minutes before they finally got back around to pick it up meanwhile waters empty and they come to ask “anything else I can get you” … yes water please… then they remained empty (until 6:58pm). $108 dollars later and we’re still waiting for our second order as I write this (7:04pm) if it didn’t risk getting charged for the food we ordered we’d have walked out already.

Hoping it was just an off day for Dragon Sushi, but I won’t be returning to find out.

Great sushi. They offer an AYCE option on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between certain hours, but it's a bit pricey @ $50 per person. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were immediately captivated by the aesthetics of the restaurant, which embraced a charming Japanese style. The diverse selection of sushi options was particularly appealing, offering a unique fusion of Mexican and Japanese flavors. However, while we were excited to try the miso soup, it was somewhat of a letdown; it was overloaded with green onions, which masked the traditional flavors, and the broth turned out to be saltier than we expected. On the positive side, the sushi itself was excellent, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Unfortunately, our dining experience was somewhat spoiled by the presence of fruit flies that flew around the table. On a brighter note, the service was impeccable. The servers were attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal.

Been coming to the Dragon Sushi in Palm Desert for years. Today we were rudely told to take whatever seat we wanted. Our server asked if we wanted any appetizers, we named the first item and she split! I was like right in the middle of telling her what I wanted. She walked by about 5-7 minutes later, and said we wanted to add an appetizer. About 3 minutes later that appetizer comes out, and the waitress literally didn’t submit our first appetizer order. Several minutes later our first appetizer comes out. She then brings out the rolls, didn’t ask if we needed anything, like refills, another drink, extra napkins, wassabe just drops the rolls and bails. Now we’ve been coming here for years, and we’ve been to high end sushi restaurants, we’ve been treated better at dumps on Fremont street in Las Vegas. We had to ask another waiter to get our waitress to give us our bill, some 30 minutes after we finished eating. We’ve gone to Dragon Sushi in Indio, and have always been treated very well there. We will never darken these doors again, I guess you get what you pay for.

$49 per person for AYCE but it doesn't include any special rolls or sashimi. Steep price for limited options

Thought we would try this place while family was in town. We get sat at a table that was not set; had food smeared in the booths, and no napkins/chopsticks/plates on table.

Service, we asked for more napkins and soy sauce dishes; and they never brought them. Had to take them off of a nearby table.

My father orders a bento box lunch special. The teriyaki chicken was dry and un-edible. Food overall tasted old…. Even the edamame was overcooked and falling apart in your mouth.

Music choice was blaring 80’s pop music in a sushi restaurant.

Will not be coming back……

Have been to Dragon Sushi 5 times, the last 3 times the “lunch special” sushi was bad, as soon I arrived home, I had the “Hershey Squirts”. Last visit I went with 3 friends, and we all had upset stomachs. I did ask all of them how do you feel? And they were all sick, all afternoon. Stay away from this place, is cheap, people eating around you look like freaks, not enjoyable. You have been warned.

Interior design was nice as was the wait staff. The sushi was ok.. The snapper was cut in such a way to include too much fat/gristle and the specialty spicy salmon roll was a neat idea, but their custom house sauce was lacking.
