Pier 88 Boiling Seafood & Bar Palm Desert

Idk what happened boils aren’t the same, the sauce is lacking. not to mention SKIMPY portions would it kill you to make it more saucy? Order is always missing something! Used to be on point but now it tastes bland and lazy.

Love this place. If I ask my 2 teens where they want to go, they always say here. We always get the combo with a garlic and Cajun sauce.

Usually the food and the service is amazing here. But something happen today that the food had no flavor the sever was polite but when they showed up. They only showed up to get the order n drop it off didn’t see my sever any other time. Was a bad experience it’s so sad

We tried the Famous Low Country Boil combo and it was solid. Good portion for two people, and everything was cooked well. The 88 Special Sauce was the standout a nice mix of old bay, buttery, garlicky, and spicy flavors that pulled everything together. We also got the wings, definitely recommend asking for them drenched in the 88 sauce for more flavor. We came in after lunch hours, so it wasn’t busy. Not sure how it is during peak times or if reservations are needed then.
Overall, good food and decent value. Would come back.

Great food and prices are reasonable!

Very disappointing experience at Pier 88 Seafood. I called ahead and was told to come in, but when I arrived at 9:26 PM (closing listed as 10:00 PM), the host said the kitchen had already closed at 9:30. I drove all the way from Palm Springs just to be turned away minutes before the stated time. This is a lack of respect toward customers, especially when business is slow during the summer. Other local restaurants were happy to take our business — Pier 88 lost not only my time but also my trust.

If i could i wild give the service negative -10 stars. Horrible horrible horrible service here. The manager is the absolute worse. 1 of the girls is coo here she has like blondish hair and 1 white dude always really cool. Everyone else a serious thumbs down should not be in this line of work.

the food was good but the service was horrible. I am a regular and always am treated nicely, today I went in and realized there was all different staff so I was like oh okay, I NEVER expected for them to treat me so horrible though. I am thinking it’s because i’m a teenager that they were so rude but that’s no excuse, I asked if I could sit in my normal spot and they said no, they then told me where to sit and left, then came back and I proceeded to order… I was brushing off the rudeness, but when they came back they just set everything there at the very corner of the table where I was far from and left it on the table didn’t say anything to me and walked away. No hospitality. It felt like I was a bother to them. I kept being nice saying thank you and they would just walk away and go to the back and laugh very loud with their coworkers. I was only checked on once at the table, and despite everything I still tipped. I had called and they said we never even ate there. NEVER GOING BACK!!!

Really enjoy the seafood, needed a different feel and taste than boiling crab and this was exactly what I needed!
