Piero's PizzaVino Reviews
Looks like service went downhill.
The food was good BUT the servers and host are terribly rude and inconsiderate. Even with a reservation like we had, you will be timed when arriving and it you take too long eating and talking with your group/family, you will be politely kicked out to make room for supposed new reservations- even though many tables are available- and they save most tables in case larger parties arrive. I will admit that we were five minutes late to our...read full review
We originally came because of finding you on the Upside app. Little did we know……Wow! Such an amazing meal and awesome service! Arturo was our server and was on top of his game. The Lasagna “Bolognase” was out of this world. Very rich and flavorful. The homemade sausage….out of this world! My wife had The penne with red and white sauce. Again….delicious! We will be back!
nice and friendly place been there twice now

Piero's PizzaVino is a popular spot for many, offering delicious Neopolitan Pizza, appetizers, and Italian wines. Customers appreciate the fast service and great staff. The outstanding servers make up for any occasional issues with gracious service and complimentary desserts. Regulars love the food and find themselves returning multiple times a month. Whether celebrating an occasion or just looking for a good meal, Piero's PizzaVino is a reliable choice in the Palm Desert area.
The house-made pizza is what Piero's is known for, with a light crust and nicely toasted border. Customers can choose between a "white" pizza (Bianco) or a "red" (rosso), depending on their preferences. Popular options include the Calabrese with spicy salame, and the Bubba-bubba, which features sausage, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and mozzarella. The desserts, such as the whole fruit lemon sorbet and tiramisu, are also highly praised. The restaurant is open during the summer and offers delivery or take-out options.
Recent visitors praise the friendly and knowledgeable service, with staff like LC and Josh making the experience special. The lively atmosphere is complemented by the staff celebrating even the kiddos, creating a welcoming environment. Many mention that the food is consistently delicious, with favorites like the lasagne—featuring meaty bolognese and fennel sausage—and the rotini with clams and mussels in marinara. The pizzas remain a highlight, and reservations are recommended to avoid waiting, as the small bar adds to the cozy ambiance.
Guests also enjoy the appetizers like shrimp spinach and artichoke dip, which are described as good, and the pizza, which is excellent. However, service can vary; some have noted that the waiters, such as Arturo, may not always check in thoroughly or may start cleaning up early, making it necessary to ask for better attention. Despite this, many still consider Piero's a favorite, especially for the food. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with friendly staff like Louise at the bar, who make out-of-towners feel like locals. Overall, Piero's PizzaVino remains a trusted spot for good food, friendly service, and a warm environment.
