Our first stop for dinner when we are vacationing in Palm Desert. The food is always excellent as well as the service.

Typically, we've had good food and good service at this restaurant and brought friends to join us because of our good experiences. Last evening changed all of that. We asked the waiter if we could substitute one item for another item that came with a dish which the waiter obliged without stating that one of three items on the regular entrée would be deleted, and that there would be an up charge for a substitution. When queried as to why one of the standard items on the dish did not arrive, the waiter said because we substituted that would not come with the dish and if we wanted it, it would be an extra charge although that should've been disclosed upfront. We said yes and were served the item. When the bill came, the waiter had charged for that additional item and also charged an up charge for the substitution on the meal, none of which were originally disclosed .When we brought this to the waiters attention, he removed the charge for the item that should've been there, but left the up charge for the substitution. Upon leaving the restaurant, something did not sit right with us and we checked our Open Table reservation to verify the charge for the main entrée on that particular dish. The Open Table menu stated that that dish is $22.25 and we were charged $34 for the same dish, including the up charge. We called the restaurant to speak to the manager, who disputed with us, stating the waiter had informed us ahead of time of the additional charges, although our entire part of a four knew that was not the case. Additionally, when brought to the attention of the manager on the phone the difference in the cost between the Open Table menu price and that which we were actually charged, the manager stated that Open Table price was wrong and then he hung up on us and would not answer the phone again.  We have a phone message into the owner of the restaurant and until resolved, we will not return.

My dear friend and I dined on the enclosed patio, which was nice and cool with fans. Pattie was our server. She was excellent. We shared the margarita pizza and the Caesar salad and they were nice enough to even split it on different plates. Always have had a wonderful experience at Piero's

We always enjoy our dinners at Piero's and bought our neighbors this was their first visit and they enjoyed their meal, thought it was delicious and looking forward to going back. We all had calamari which was great and pizzas (our favorite pizza place Piero's makes a real pizza just like they do in Italy). Soooo good. The service was excellent our server Victor was attentive, professional and helpful.

We had lunch today. Most of it was great. But, I had to send my soup back as it was quite hot enough. They fixed it, though, and it really was delicious. My grilled artichoke was inedible as it was not cooked, and the leaves were hard. I complained nicely, and the manager took it off the bill. I ended up eating some of my friends' pizza... which was good. Waitress was stellar... service good on a friendly atmosphere.

My partner and I regularly lunch at Pizza Vino, and always find its offerings and service first rate. On this occasion, we decided to host guests for dinner. The restaurant was full and hopping; nonetheless, we were seated immediately when we arrived for our reservation. We did the full dinner out routine, ordering cocktails, appetizers, mains and desert, including some dishes we had not previously tried. We were gratified with how well the flow of the meal went. Cocktail pours were ample and well made; appetizers interesting and very tasty, especially stuffed zucchini blossoms with just a touch of honey—outstanding; mains excellent, the salads served piedini style a real treat; and, finally, a distinctive version of tiramisu. Service was attentive and well-coordinated. Piero's Pizza Vino is an outstanding, affordable choice for anyone looking for an Italian restaurant with a wide ranging menu and excellent to superb pizza.
We split a salad and pizza. Both were delicious as usual. Our server, LC, was very friendly and efficient! Always a pleasant experience and terrific food.

We're Dining with The Davids. If you're not familiar with us, we go to restaurants with a MASSIVE group of friends and order either the entire menu or the chef's favorites.
