First time here. Wonderful experience. Happy hour was great. The food is very good. Fish and chips were outstanding, as were the sliders and NY cheesecake. We ate at the bar, and Michelle is the best. We will definitely visit again,

We returned . Food is consistently good, Tyler is a true mixologist, GM Vic is a good person, and The Hideout Team is outstanding. Calimari is the best in town. Very nice selection of Paso Robles wines. Tiramasu is very good.

An absolute fantastic place for great drinks, great food, and excellent, friendly service from all of the staff. I look forward to coming back when they host live music!

Hands down the best drink on the menu; the pomegranate mojito

For the hungry, brave souls that want an excellent take on a classic, try the lamb burger and fingers crossed you can finish the fries.

The Avocado fries are one of the best appetizers. Period. If you’ve never had one, lean into that curiosity and try it. You will not be sorry.

If you’re even slightly curious, do yourself a favor and try out The Hideout.

I like to sample new places for Happy Hour or Social Hour as its called at The Hideout and my friend and I were not disappointed. Drink prices were just right and the bar/Social Hour food choices were as well, which is super important to us. Sometimes though, the quality of the food for lower prices suffers. Not here.

We ordered the Chef's Premium Sliders and were in love at the first bite. Meat mixture includes short ribs and brisket along with chuck. Generous portion of meat on the small buns, so juicy that you need a few napkins as you bite into them.

Also ordered the Grandma's meatballs. I'm a picky Italian cook who was skeptical but had seen raves on Yelp, so I took the plunge. Glad I did. Perfectly tender, just the right amount of garlic and parsley and a delicious marinara sauce with two pieces of garlic toast. Both items were generously portioned and we took leftovers to go, of course.

Vic, a fellow Italian from back east engaged us in fun conversation and our server could not have been sweeter and more attentive. I'll be taking other friends for sure.

My friend and I came here for lunch, came at 1130am so it wasn't crowded. I had the blue cheese burger, $19 made with brisket, chuck, prime rib meat..it was EXCELLENT! Cooked to perfection!! super delicious served with truffle fries for $2 more. Service here was also wonderful. Food came fast, and our waiter was very attentive and kept our drinks filled. I definitely want to come back to try the dinner menu.

Inviting space on the second floor with three seating options: patio, high tables and standard seating. Service was prompt and inviting. Food portions are quite big, with tasty fresh ingredients. Burgers were thick with a large portion of fries. Salads were also large but the vinaigrette was a little too strong for my taste.

We had a fabulous dining experience here! Foods are great, vibes so well with the music and sunshine surrounding. We had hideout wings and hideout pizza for dinner. The hideout wings are so great with buffalo sauce and bleu cheese. Avocado and chicken topped with the sauce and rocket is a finger-roll layup! Plus Vic and Jacob definitely lights up our whole night. We had a fabulous ending for our short day trip to Coachella Valley.

Their pizza sucks. It was once really good. You’ll be happier going to Bills Pizza or even Little Cesar’s!

We recently held a happy hour for our wedding guests at The Hideout, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was delicious, the space inviting, and the drinks tasteful. Vick and Justin were great to work with and all their staff were professional, friendly, and made every effort to accommodate our needs, making our wedding weekend extremely special. Highly recommend for any occasion!

In summary: Not impressed. Save your money, and go elsewhere, there are way better restaurants on El Paseo. The service was terrible and the food did not match the price point.

We went to the hideout on 06/04/24 at about 6pm, with a party of six people (not a large party). The restaurant seemed moderately busy but not packed. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Marsala for $30 and my wife ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli for $47. I also ordered a vodka cranberry drink for $14.

We waited for over an hour for our food to arrive, and when it did, they completely forgot the order (a personal pizza) for one of the other people in our party and he had to wait another 20 minutes for his food to arrive. We also had to practically send up a flare to get our drinks re-filled.

The Tikka dish was okay, definitely not authentic tasting, but also not bad. The Steak on the other hand, was a giant disappointment. It was bland, the mashed potatoes were watery and bland, and the broccoli was overcooked. My wife seriously said she's had better $15 steaks at Norms. Lastly, my $14 Vodka Cranberry was also a huge disappointment. It was in a tiny glass, maybe 8 ounces tops, and half ice, and I'm pretty sure there was no Vodka in the drink at all. The other folks in our party had the whiskey smash and at least that drink was decent they said.

When it came time to pay, they tacked a forced 20% large party tip on our bill. I'm sorry, but six people is not a large party and I was disgusted that we were forced to pay a 20% tip for absolutely horrible service. We will never go back to this restaurant and I encourage you to skip it too.
