Overpriced and under delivered. Nothing special considering the high price of specialty sushi rolls and meats. We had the ko ko roll - not recommended unless you like sweet and sour sauce- and the Venue roll which was just fine. Albacore roll and spicy tuna tostado were the best items we tried! The service was great and our server was very knowledgeable. Rickety outside furniture and small selection of whiskey for a sushi and “whiskey” bar?

The experience was amazing and the food was some of the best I have ever had. The not knowing what your going to get made it so much fun and interesting and the drinks were delicious our server was slow at brining drinks and r food and we ended up being there past closing time which made the end of our experience awkward with staff ready to pack up and we're still on our last course but other than that it was great.

Amazing venue with great food, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend for birthdays, anniversaries and other events as they really go above and beyond to make your day special!

We've always been a fan of the sister restaurant Sandfish. This is not nearly as nice an experience. Sushi is not as well made and bathrooms very dirty. Just ok. We won't go back.

I would like to be empathetic towards the staff at The Venue, but I can't. First, it took 20 minutes to order a drink and then another 10 minutes to get a glass of water. I ordered hot tea. I would have liked a refill but was never asked or given the opportunity. We were also seated and shorted 2 serving settings and had to ask several staff for chopsticks and napkins. Then it took another 2 hours for our party of 8 to receive food. The staff should have been transparent about the fact they had 1 chef rolling sushi for the whole restaurant at the beginningof service- not 90 minutes after being seated. The staff were clearly stressed out, but they didn't handle the situation well and eventually they all seemed to disappear to the kitchen. One of the people in my party ordered the cucumber salad. This was one of the last items we received. I'm not sure why a cucumber salad required 2.5 hours of waiting. I eventually went in search of water to fill our empty glasses and then just ended up asking for a pitcher of water for the table to avoid needing staff to provide water refills. 6 people eventually received 1/2 their order, while 2 people sat with nothing to eat. It was awkward not knowing if we should wait or eat. We decided to eat, and 6 were done eating by the time the other two were finally served. The staff should have been honest from the start and explained they were down a chef, and dinner service would require extensive waiting. Granted, we received a discount on our bill, and they also provided a few appetizers while we waited. The flavor and freshness of the sushi was decent. However, for the $$$$$- ($20+ per roll for 2 maybe 8 pieces) YIKES... and consumer beware, they are small rolls. It was underwhelming after waiting and expressing how hungry we were.... ugh. After spending over 3- hours not eating sushi, we all went home still hungry and we all ate another dinner. I'm extremely disappointed. I do not recommend.

The food was incredible! We got a bottle of incredible Sake, very dry and smooth. The Hamachi and the Tuna Crostini were our favorites, but again, everything was great! We went for Happy Hour the pricing and atmosphere was perfect!

We intended to eat outside but there was noisy music from another event. The tables inside were right on top of each other so it was hard not to hear every word from the table next to you. We thought the food was very good but a bit over priced. We were offered the pistachio sorbet/gelato for dessert and didn't look at the menu to see that it was $12 a serving. $24 for that simple dessert ! Service was good.

Creative sushi rolls. We ate indoors due to high winds and the atmosphere inside is pleasantly quiet and has a good modern vibe. We are gluten-free and my spouse has celiac so not gluten-free because it's trendy. They were willing to cater to gluten-free needs.

I don't love showing up to a restaurant for a reservation and the hostess asking you to wait 10 minutes for the same table that was open when you walked in the door. Food is great albeit overpriced. Food delivery is sooooo slow which makes this a disappointing adventure.

Friendly greeting, sweet patio, attentive and kind service and best of all - incredibly delicious food. Great happy hour with many wonderful selections. Make sure you try the Bosporus roll. Can't wait to come back!

Always excellent quality at the Venue, and the atmosphere always lively and welcoming. The best surprise is that the service level, already better than most other places, is now top level. On a very busy night for them, the new (to me) host was very accommodating to our guest, who had just got off a plane from Paris and was a little dazed. I might have one quibble with a new dish we tried at the suggestion of our wait person. The raw scallops in their shell. The scallops were delicious, but I am not convinced by the preparation - chopped nuts and a glug of what I think was hazelnut oil. A little heavy maybe. Just my personal taste. Love this place.

A small venue, excellent menu, fast, efficient service. In warm weather, ask for the outdoor patio.

My wife and I booked an omakase dinner for Valentine's Day, and it was easily the best dining experience we've ever had! The restaurant had a DJ playing music outdoors at the perfect volume to still be able to have a conversation. The warm lighting set the perfect mood. It was a wonderful ambiance. We chose to sit at the bar for our omakase, in order to see the work happen. The bartender, Kimberly, was the perfect balance of attentive, conversational, knowledgeable, and friendly. We ordered a few different options (we were celebrating) and loved each one. My wife particularly recommends the house hot sake (Executive Chef Engin is a sake-somalliere for a reason!) and the Spicy Matcha Margarita; it was a perfect pair for the several sushi dishes we had: refreshing, light, perfectly sweet with only a hint of spice. Towards the end of our meal, Chef Yessi (spelling?) treated us with a very uniquely flavored plum wine and chili flake sake: 10/10! The meal was out of this world! In order, we had: carrot ginger soup, soft shell crab bao buns, an ahi tuna sashimi dish, an escolar sashimi dish, a unique roll, Chef Sam's AMAZING tuna tartare, a selection of nigiri, a very unique eggplant tuna dish, and finished with a perfect sorbet. Needless to say, each dish perfectly preceded the prior, with a light citrus theme carried throughout, and I would recommend the experience to anyone and everyone! We will definitely be back to try omakase again, along with the amazing-looking regular menu options. Thank you for making our first Valentine's as a married couple a truly special one.

My husband and I attended at The Venue on Valentine's Day. We sat on the patio under a partial moon. It was so lovely and romantic. The food was spectacular as well as the entire evening. Will be returning often.

The outdoor section is very basic, not comfortable chairs table in metal not covered waitress did the minimum... the price is high for regular fish nothing special about it. Not to die for ... not special atmosphere... this is a basic sushi place but expensive
