Have been dining here off and on since it opened years ago. Only once did I have poor service. I was there again a few days ago for an early dinner with my husband. Alexis was our server and I can’t say enough of the caring and gentlemanly he showed tables around us and to ourselves. For example, there was an elderly lady nearby he spotted who was having difficulty removing her coat while seated. He immediately went over and assisted her. Such a simple act of kindness and care. Great service overall!

Willy and his team catered our wedding and they did a phenomenal job! Our wedding was almost a year ago and our guests still talk about the Osso Bucco and Fried Chicken to this day. The staff was professional and courteous, and Willy handled details with our wedding planner beforehand to make sure our big day went off without a hitch. If the quality of food is a priority at your event, 849 EVENTS is the way to go!

We picked this spot for Christmas dinner based on their food, atmosphere, and previous trip advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. The prix fixe menu was delicious and we all left very satisfied. The corn and crab chowder and the pork tenderloin were both favorites of the family!

We had a wonderful Christmas Party for our staff and families. They accommodated all 65 of us and if it were to rain, they had room to fit us inside. We enjoyed the atmosphere, staff and food! Josh was amazing and omg we had our very own menu, which I think was such a nice custom touch. Truly a great place for any occasion. Thank you for the wonderful service and we are planning our next one in 2024.

Wow. Food. Service. Cocktails. All a 10/10. Both the Cobb and the main was to die for. The servers were impecable in delivery. The whole experience could not have been better.

Delicious brunch in such a fun atmosphere. If you haven’t tried Ina’s Scottish Breakfast on the brunch menu, what are you waiting for?! Service was great, staff amazing.

Lovely restaurant, very nice food, reasonably good service. Wasn’t made to feel that welcome on arrival or important to the staff during the meal, so that took the edge off. Good but not excellent.

We look forward to the great food and service every time we visit Palm Springs! Will eat here multiple times during our stay!

We had an impromptu visit with short notice. I rang to reserve and we were welcomed. Staff were a little slow but lovely. Food excellent and not sweet!!! The cauliflower was particularly yummy.

I am a board member of a new nonprofit organization in the city of Palm Springs. We decided to host our initial/kick-off social mixer event catered by EIGHT4NINE Restaurant and Lounge. The results were outstanding. Our guests raved about the delicious food, amazing service, and overall a fun and great evening, filled with fun and camaraderie. Everyone had a great time!

My team was in town for the CEBA event. I booked a dinner reservation for 44 ppl here and worked with Josh Calderon to ensure it was a success and in deed it was! Everyone had great things to say...everything from cocktail hour to the dessert was on point! The FOOD was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! Josh and team did a terrific job! We will definitely come back and tell many others about the amazing menu and staff!

Wife and I went for dinner on a Friday night. Pros were the atmosphere in large outdoor patio with nicely spaced tables for privacy, and excellent service. Major con was our meals were disappointing. My wife had salmon, which came on top of a rice cake with no vegetables. I had pork tenderloins, which were overcooked and crunchy around the ends. Came with 3 asparagus stalks and 3 smallish carrots. For what they charge, we did not feel we got value for our money. Sorry, can't recommend.

We had Eight4Nine cater and bartend our wedding last weekend and it was absolutely amazing. I had multiple guests tell me it was the best wedding food they've ever had. The passed hors d'oeuvres, plated entrees, and deserts were all very delicious and served in a timely manner! The servers were attentive and accommodating, the food was amazing, the drinks were perfect, and the bar staff was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend Eight4Nine for any event, they will work with you to make sure your event is perfect!!

Willie Rhine and his attentive staff gave the Palm Springs LBGTQ Center Ocotillo Club and unforgettable meal and evening experience. The food was excellent as always, and the entertainment - two skilled strolling violinists - were memorable. 849 is always a dependable choice. Thanks for a lovely evening!

BEST SPOT IN PALM SPRINGS! If you are having a drink and dinner at the bar, dinner for 2, 4 or 55 - this is your place.. They are incredible at everything they touch. We hada dinner for 55 individuals on Saturday and everything was AMAZING.
