Beautiful decor and ambiance (great music but not too noisy) and fantastic food. Reasonably priced and great wine choices.

We enjoyed our evening at Bar Cecil so much that we returned the next night! Though we dine out often, it's unusual for us to patronize the same restaurant. However, Bar Cecil was worth the exception to our usual habits, and we had noticed several items on the menu that we still wished to explore, and, having earlier dined on our favorites, we were eager to do some wider exploration of the menu, which we did! Everything was delicious, and now, for our next visit, we'll have even more difficult decisions to make, since our "favorites" list has greatly expanded.
Such a fabulous meal and service at Bar Cecil! Everything was perfect and our server was very helpful and communicated very clearly with us. Such a memorable evening ... highly recommend!
Dining at Bar Cecil is always a magical experience; the warm atmosphere and attention to each detail guarantees a special night. Excellent staff and food.
Steak was great but poached salmon was mid. Both drinks were great. Overall - highly recommend
This was our third time dining here, and unfortunately, we are starting to see some inconsistencies that are hard to overlook given how difficult it is to secure a reservation. The meal started on a high note. As always, the appetizers were on another level—specifically the Thai mussels, pate, Parker rolls, and the onion tart. If the meal had ended there, it would have been perfect. However, the mains were very disappointing this time around. We ordered the smoked pork and the steak frites. The pork dish while tender was incredibly dry, a texture that extended to the accompanying au gratin potatoes (which resembled a dry, dense pavé rather than a creamy gratin) and steamed broccolini. While the steak was cooked to a correct medium-rare temperature, the cut itself was tough and unenjoyable. When you fight to get a table here, you expect stellar quality from start to finish. I hope the kitchen can iron out these inconsistencies to match the excellence of their starters.
ALWAYS PHENOMENAL!

We have been trying to secure a table here for some time and were delighted to finally manage to reserve one. It's a lovely spot, cozy and vibrant. The drinks were excellent and the food was too. Service was attentive. Every staff member encountered, while walking through the restaurant, would defer to the guest and politely step aside to let you pass. We will definitely return on our next visit.
Our dining experience was wonderful! Excellent service, food, and ambiance. This is a favorite restaurant where we love to bring our visitors. Can't wait to return.
Our first time and the food was delicious. We both ordered the Steak and frites. I never order a steak at restaurants as I find it is always too rare for me. Both our steak were cooked to perfection! Mine medium and my husband's medium rare. They were delicious and I definitely would order it again! We had the pavlova for dessert and it was delicious as well. Only sad part, we ordered one to share definitely wouldn't do that again it was far too good to share! Service was top notch!! Only negatives are; very hard to get a reservation for an early dinner time. I found it was a little too cozy for me as far as tables being so close together and it was a little chilly the night we went. It is a lovely restaurant overall. We will definitely go back!

Was so excited to try Bar Cecil during our visit to Palm Springs. It was the most difficult reservation to make. But the food did not live up to the hype. The ambiance was fun, as was the vibe and music. Appetizers, including deviled eggs and escargot, were good. Cocktail shrimp was acceptable. However, the burger was disappointing to say the least. Ordered medium-well, it came out like shoe leather well well well done. When I requested a new burger, it came out on the same plate with the original fries (now cold) and pickle. The replacement burger did not have the bacon on it, as originally ordered — so I had to ask for a side of bacon. The cacio e pepe was good, but we've had better at lower price points. We were comped the dessert of our choosing — chocolate chip cookies ($15 for 3)-we shall see whether they make up for it all. update (one day later): the comped 3 cookies were only 2 when we opened the box tonight.
Wow! Most memorable. Don't think the effort to eat the grilled artichokes was worth it, though. Pate was supreme and pork chop huge! Very personalized service. Place was packed for a Monday night and bar seating was fully used by diners, too. Birthday treat, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some chocolate sauce on one of their yummy chocolate chip cookies. Glad I saved room. Lucked out on a cancelled reservation to dine there with an out of town friend who wanted a splurge dinner. Will dine again! An owner stopped by to check in on us; and Alex at host station is a gem!
Loved the food and vibe at Bar Cecil. Owner even came by to thank us for coming in --nice touch in such a popular place. Can't wait to go back!
Visited for husband's birthday and overall was impressed. Started with grilled artichokes and girl and dug salad. Both amazing and would order again. We both had the pork chop which was huge!! Later learned you can split and they slice which would have been perfect. Servicer Eric was great. Only knock I would give is that we sat in the booth by the bathroom and kitchen order area. Was hoping for better seating given it was his birthday.... Set my alarm and made another reservation for our family when they visit for thanksgiving. Cancelled the reservation I had for another hard to visit restaurant in Palm Springs. Hoping it's worth it!!!
After 4 years of trying and finally securing a reservation, Bar Cecil did not disappoint. Thank you for making my husband's birthday quite special!
