I have been to Birba on many occasions and I am always happy with that choice. The food was excellent...very flavorful and presented nicely on the plate. The service was much like the food...excellent and also, very attentive. The ambiance was energetic yet not obnoxious. From the delightful greeting of the hostess at the entrance to the departure with a well satisfied tummy...everything was as I have come to expect...excellence at every turn. Thank you for a very pleasant evening!
The ambience, the setting, the bartender and bar seating all excellent. Dinner not up to usual par (11/5/25)
Best restaurant and atmosphere in Palm Springs! Hostess was so welcoming, our server Vanessa is as good as it gets, the food was delicious, and the drinks were so yummy as always!!

The setting outside was very nice. But that's where the positive review ends. The service was non existent. When we asked for help we got an attitude. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the eggplant appetizer and I wouldn't know it had eggplant in it at all. All breading. We also ordered a margarita pizza that was completely burned on the bottom. I like a bit of char on my crust but it was burned. Soggy with sauce and cheese was not melted. We had been eating our way through Los Angeles and Palm Springs and this was the only poor meal and experience we had during the week.
Loved Vanessa, our server. She took great care of us. Service and food are wonderful! We will be back!
Surprisingly good food. We liked the black pepper tagliatelle the most with the birba pizza second. The tagliatelle had a really nice flavor and wasn’t too heavy. The pizza was sweet with a little bit of kick and deliciously meaty. We also ordered the Tutto carne pizza which was like a yummy meat lovers pizza.
We had a lemon olive oil cake and tiramisu for dessert. The tiramisu was a little too mushy and not enough mascarpone but the lemon olive oil cake was nicely balanced, and tasty.

we typically love this place! a bit of a frustrating experience this time around. we had a reservation and when we were brought to our table the hostess mentioned they’ve had an ant issue within the area of those tables. she did mention we can move if we notice an issue. within 5 minutes of sitting next to the fire-pit we had multiple crawling up our legs. we did get moved, which was great. interesting comment made by assumed to be manager that it’s too late now to spray. why wasn’t spray done prior to opening?
then took almost 10 minutes to have a server come to our table. the people who then were seated at our original table sat for over 30 min and never had a server stop by; ended up leaving.
weather was quite humid so hard to eat. nothing on the restaurant of course.
we ordered the garlic knot but found it doughy and without much flavor, while sitting in a bowl of oil.
pizza was good. pasta was also good.
we got too hot and took our food to go. we asked for the wine to be corked and when it was, we asked about a bag or something to walk back to our hotel with it and the comment was “i would just be sneaky”. not sure a restaurant should be encouraging us to just be sneaky rather than providing a better way to take it with us.
will we be back, yes just keeping in mind it seems to have changed a bit.

I thought the food was really good, drinks were heavy poured. We had a staff dinner here so of course I have a bias on service, but to prepare many dishes on repeat and have them be consistent is great. I would make this place a date night restaurant if I am in the area. Cheers

Great atmosphere - really enjoyed our experience there.

Besides the black wall 🤔 they painted to absorb all that heat, and then release into the surrounding seating at 6:00 p.m. when they open (misters seem to be present but unused 🤷) the food was absolutely incredible. Our waitress made the evening with her pleasant vibe after the kind staff moved us away from the heater (black wall😆). Highly recommend

We've come to birba several times, the food is usually good, but it was rushed, oil heavy , and bland. but the service is always friendly. But the caterpillars, which are apparently seasonal BUT don't use the tables when there is an infestation literally in the trees, which I get it's an outside restaurant but there are hundreds, thousands of caterpillars crawling all over the trees and onto the tables, falling from the branches and in people's food, in their hair, and on them. Two tables asked to be moved, shaking out their clothes and hair. I hope they got some of their meal comped, they were all dressed up. Paying a hundred dollars for food and drink should buy you a no bug experience. It used to be so much better.
