I would say that the service here is a highlight. The people working here are genuinely happy and good people who are providing an exceptional level of attentive and professional service. They went above and beyond for our group on several occasions and regardless of which server we got of the time of day, it was always a good experience.
It is a hotel bar/restaurant, so things a little more expensive than you might expect, however everything is made to a very high quality and was consistently delicious, with the added benefit that it can be delivered to the pool side if you wish.
The atmosphere is fine. Reminds me of a few Mexico City bars that I have been to, nothing special, but not bad in any way. Only negative mark I might give it in earnest would be the music, which ranged from not good to what seemed like AI generated slop.

The two of us enjoyed the excellent crab tostada as our appetizer, followed by delicious Cobb salad, salmon, and smash burger. Every dish was generously-portioned and outstanding, freshest ingredients and perfectly seasoned. Service from John and Emily was attentive and friendly. Loved our dining experience immensely!!

My Breakfast was amazing one day and the same Breakfast was not good on 1/1. May have been short staffed for the holiday and different shelves, but it was very inconsistent. They brought smashed potatoes the first day which were amazing and made me wanna come back for more the next day. The potatoes were just round roasted and a bit undercooked the eggs tasted like they were not real-maybe in a box? Everyone was very nice and the service was perfect.

We enjoyed most of our meals here during our 4 day stay at Avalon. The staff is superb! They are accommodating, friendly and on task! The food selection are fresh CA style… fish taco, açaí bowl , bagel and lox, burgers and more.

Nice ambiance around the pool area, and our server was very professional and friendly. However the food was very mediocre and not a good value. The restaurant also charges a “wellness surcharge” on top of the inflated prices, which we found pretty irritating.

Our server, John, was both charming and helpful. It was a quiet night without too many folks at the bar/restaurant. The steak and chimichurri were delicious. The fries were good, if rather pedestrian (I would have preferred shoestring frites). The Cobb Salad was of a modest size, but good.

I have had lunch at this restaurant before, so I made a reservation to meet a dear friend whom I haven’t seen for a while. The pool and deck area is going through a renovation so we had to eat inside. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! It was perfect for a great conversation and catching up with my friend. I highly recommend this restaurant/bar nested in the Avalon boutique hotel and bungalows.
While there was worked being done outside (remodeling of pool and deck areas) and we could not seat there, we enjoyed our lunch and conversation a great deal in the small, but quaint dining area by the bar. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding!

Great restaurant, I think I would like to go back and try it again when it's a little cooler outside so we can sit outside, though the indoors was very quaint and intimate. Our service was really good. We were not rushed at all, I really like that. The food was good, my friend had the crab tacos, and there was really not much crab in it but lots and lots of cabbage. I would definitely go back and try again.

Food itself was good just a bit expensive. Great service delivering by the poolside. Açaí bowl had so many great toppings on it like fruit and granola. I added salmon to the Cesar salad. Burrata and avocado toast was filling, added an egg.
