What a beautiful place. We were taken to dinner here and were very pleased with our meals. Service was excellent and the food was wonderful. We will be coming back to the Eight4Nine again soon.

This is a really cute dinner place. Good cocktails. They bring out individual pieces of warm fresh bread which is delicious instead of a bread basket. Luckily they offered us a second slice. Carne asada was flavorful but the dish could have used another side. The service is excellent. I recommend making a reservation as this restaurant is quite popular. They have large outdoor seating area too.

We love 849 and come often but very disappointed by our visit last week. We came w my niece and specifically asked for kids menu options. We went w the kids cheeseburger nothing on it except a tomato. When the bill came, they charged us for the regular $21 burger... insane. They should have just stated we don't have kids meals. We have menus items your children may like...

I hosted a 17 person birthday dinner in Eight4Nine's elegant Morocco Room. Josh Calderon from the restaurant worked with me in planning the event and he was incredibly helpful and patient. The dinner: food, service and ambiance were all excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant as an event location.

We returned to Eight4Nine since we loved it so much last year. Sadly, our dinner this time was a let-down. I had the pasta bolognese with sausage. It was a bland-tasting purchase at $31. My husband had the smoked carne asada in ranchero sauce. He enjoyed the steak, but it was swimming in sauce & refried beans - a real mess of an entree at $37. My husband ended with the deconstructed s'more dessert which he really liked. We'll keep coming to Eight4Nine & we'll keep an eye on the menu for changes.

Food was amazing and plentiful. Waitstaff was so personable and quiet. Let our large party talk and just relax while everything was orchestrated in the background. Looking forward to returning.

The bread was so good, then came the Caesar salad, so freaking good. Then came our entrees, I'm legit speechless. Seriously so good so much flavor. The carne asada was amazing. The fried chicken was great. Then we had the caramel macchiato cake for dessert and it was so so yummy. 10/10 recommend. We sat outside and the vibes were great.
Maybe the issue with 849 is with us, we go there for the atmosphere, and not the food. Perhaps we should start going to restaurants that have quality food, for the price point. I posted the pics of what we ordered, 2 - Steak Frites. The steak arrived already cut, and frites, I mean, how much does it cost for a handful of french fries? Clearly the Chef dosen't understand that you don't cut meat into bite size morsels, because the meat is still cooking, and retaining the heat. Needless to say, the meat arrived at room temp, bite size morsels. One plate had more meat than the other. $21.00 per plate. You do the math.

The food and atmosphere were amazing. We sat outdoors, it was a cool evening and between the heaters and fires, it was very comfortable. There were 4 people in our party. It was a while before our drink orders were taken but they were delicious when they arrived. We ordered 3 salads on the menu to get a taste of each and while we loved them all, the pear Niçoise salad was the fan favorite. Three of us got the filet and it was cooked perfectly. The other got the sea bass and that was also delicious. However, our server was terrible- to the point where other employees were noticing how unattended we were. Our waiter never asked if we wanted more drinks ( all four of us would've ordered another cocktail if only he had stopped by), he never asked how the food was. Never gave us a chance to even ask for or be offered salt and pepper, it was as if he had something better to do and we were a bother to him. The food was so good that, if we could be guaranteed better service, we would definitely go back but I'm not so sure at this point.
