It is good food and not too expensive. Very easy if you are staying at the Saguaro. The staff is very friendly and I really appreciate that.

It must have been meet your friends for party night at El Jefe when we dined. My review is probably not a fair reflection on day to day service, but the intense noise was pretty overwhelming.

We used to go for taco Tuesday but haven't been in a while. So this was a group of eight people who get together four new restaurant or different restaurant every month and the service was excellent. The food was excellent. The prices were reasonable. Just a really good time and we'll be doing it again

Manager Liz took care of us near closing time. The guac and salsa were unique and had an eclectic flavor of its own. We loved the ambiance and colored lights.

The best cappuccino I ever had. The bartender who made it is exceptional, and the brand of coffee was excellent. I had the breakfast sandwich and the ingredients were of high quality, including the brioche bun. Last but not least, the service was amazing and very efficient and very personable. I will be back for breakfast, but I also want to try lunch. Checked out the lunch menu and it looks very exciting. The prices for breakfast and lunch are the best I've seen in Palm Springs. Great prices and quality food. The chef is first rate.

Great food, great service, nice atmosphere. I had the El Jefe Burger in a lettuce wrap, my dining companion had the carne asada tacos. Both were delicious! And the margaritas are super tasty.

In town for Labor Day weekend and decided to have a late dinner at El Jefe since we were staying at The Saguaro. This restaurant was great. We had the Mahi fish tacos and they were incredible. Staff was friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a couple of complimentary Candy Shots for it being our anniversary. The rest of the drinks were also great. Strongly recommend El Jefe Restaurant.

We came for brunch. It felt like pulling teeth trying to get anyone to come to our table for service. We ordered bottomless mimosas and half way through our meal we had to flag down our server twice for a second refill. He then gave us attitude. Overall our stay at this hotel seems like It is an inconvenience for staff to do their job. At El Jefe, at the pool, pool bar and front desk, the staff are bothered when they need to do their job. Dissatisfied

Sadly, we did not have a good experience. The food itself was decent, but they were out of many things on the menu, including simple things like iced tea and soup. Oh, and they served us a chicken salad without the chicken. Service was slow and minimal, even though we were one of 3 tables. I would not actually be mentioning the service, except for the fact that there was an automatic 20% gratuity PLUS another 1% of something called “gratuity tax” that was added to the bill, without any opportunity for me to pay a different amount. Oh, and the server would not take our cards and charge them, we had to scan a QR code and then manually input the cards into the system ourselves. Self checkout made me feel like I deserved at least half of that mandatory tip back. 😜 Overall, this was not great. And it was $60 for a salad, a couple of mini tacos, and a glass of cheap rose.

Came on a Friday afternoon. The vibe was pretty quiet and empty overall. The server was nice and service was pretty prompt. I am gluten free and they had a lot of options. We ordered chips and salsa and it was nice and spicy! I got the carne asada tacos and they were pretty good. The real star for me were the gluten free churros, so delicious!

The person who took our order was not pleasant, but I didn't blame him much because the drag brunch next door was so loud it was impossible to think, much less talk. I would also hate working there while barraged with so much noise. He offered to make our orders to go without prompting. We should have just left. The most popular item on the menu was marred by thoughtless proportions- the pickled onions overwhelmed the pork in the ridiculously piled high but tiny tacos made to fit an odd plate of little aluminum circles. Not a pleasant experience. It might be better at other times, but DO NOT go there on Sunday for lunch.

Hugo is the best, the playlist was a vibe, the nachos are to die for, the drinks are perfectly balanced and I’m coming back tomorrow! Don’t go changing! Whatever wait for a table there is would be worth it I’m not joking.

Quick service, we were specifically in the cantina ordered nachos which were the best nachos I’ve had in a long time! Everything tasted fresh. Drinks are very pretty and delish as well! Hugo was SUPER friendly and his service was A1, made us feel extremely welcomed. They also have board games which is a bonus!
